Hotel has an excellent location, on the western end of Donnalucata beach, about 1hr 45mins from Catania airport, with parking on site. Our room was a sea-view double on the first floor and was very clean and smart. All the staff were extremely friendly and obliging, and happy either to talk in English or put up with our limited Italian - they even bought in extra tea bags for our breakfast. The roof-top terrace bar / breakfast room serving continental breakfast and a good range of drinks was delightful, with excellent views across the town, beach and sea - can recommend the local zibibbo white wine and nibbles! The restaurant attached to the hotel (independent of the hotel) was also excellent, with friendly staff (including the charming Mauro) and a good range of fish, pasta and pizza dishes, and a good wine list: we were offered a 10% discount as hotel guests but this might not be guaranteed. The beach was very clean (looked like it had been raked clean), and swimming in the clean, safe and shallow sea was a joy. On our last day we had to leave the hotel quite early, but they were still able to arrange for us to have breakfast 30 minutes earlier than normal breakfast time. Overall we had a fantastic stay and would love to go back again. Would definitely recommend.

Nothing at all - the weather was extremely and unseasonably hot for mid June (40+ degrees C) which was a bit uncomfortable for sightseeing, but nothing the hotel can do about that! Air con was invaluable.
