Casa San Michele

We loved this stay, the host and family are so kind and we fell in love with their pets! The view is next level and the classic breakfast while it is basic, it was perfect and so cute. You feel away from everyone which was very welcome from our previous busy holiday stops. We were easily able to visit all other bits of the Amalfi Coast from the ferry, Minori is the cutest spot, so is this family and the accommodation as well as their family restaurant, Donna Carmela. You get a wonderful, authentic Italian stay - I can't wait to come back someday as I'm still dreaming about it. I would be back in a heartbeat if I could. It's at the top of the town so you have to walk stairs up (but it was no issue for us), the town is so cute and away from all the crowds. It's just along the path to lemons. This is the way to experience the Amalfi Coast.

The shower was probably the only negative as it jumps a bit from hot to cold and has soft pressure, the sink leaks a bit from underneath too. The way the bathroom is set up means after you have a shower the bathroom is a bit awkward to get to as you don't want wet feet (we wore sandals down there). For the price though and the space this was probably as best optimised as it could be. All the positives overruled all negatives for me.

The views from the apartment were beautiful beyond words, the hostess was incredibly friendly on check-in and the apartment itself was really nice - it felt like staying in an authentic Italian home.

Great views, comfortable room

Bit noisy at night. Host did not speak much English. Diet wishes at breakfast were difficult to communicate and not really taken into account. Bathroom was a bit uncomfortable halfway down the stairs

This family run establishment is just super. We were fondly welcomed and our "apartment" more than met our expectations. It has the best views! You can make an espresso in the kitchentte with the best views of the ocean around! Mind you, this place is at "the end of the road" in Minori. We had a car and were able to park it up top for a fair daily fee. To walk (which we did many times) is about a 15 minute down the steps into town, which is normal for the Amalfi Coast....so it would be recommended that you take a taxi or bus if you don't have a vehicle. Breakfast was simple and very pleasant on the terrace each morning. This place is very special. Oh, and they opened up a new restaurant next door which is a delight and also there are a couple of other places nearby if you prefer to stay up on the hill in the evenings.
