Staff are amazing, couldn't have been more engaging, helpful and friendly. What a lovely experience

Hotel is tired and needs some upgrading, tiles missing round pool, garden furniture falling apart, room I stayed in was in need of a complete overhaul - cupboards wouldn't shut, paint peeling, bathroom clean but old....

During our Sri Lanka vacation, we stayed at the Amaranthe Bay Resort for the last two nights. The Junior Suite we booked was spacious and elegant, with the highlight being the Jacuzzi Bath – a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploration. Adding to its charm, the balcony offered a breathtaking panorama of the surrounding nature, and we were fortunate to witness stunning sunsets over the nearby lake, creating unforgettable memories. Although the resort's large inviting pool was enjoyable, some sharp corners around the area caused minor inconveniences and led to an unfortunate toe injury. Nevertheless, our overall experience remained highly enjoyable. The hotel's convenient location allowed easy access to the ocean and beach, where we found several delightful restaurants for lunch or dinner. Inside the resort, we had the pleasure of dining at their lovely restaurant, offering reasonable prices and a varied, tasty breakfast. The staff was friendly and attentive, and while there was a minor disagreement about the exchange rate during payment, the managers handled the situation with professionalism, swiftly resolving any issues and leaving us with a positive impression of their commitment to guest satisfaction. Amaranthe Bay Resort's well-maintained and peaceful ambiance made our stay perfect. We loved the jacuzzi! Our room was spacious!

Everything was nice until we experienced several cuts on our feet, toes, knees and fingers after swimming in the small swimming pool as we had our 1 year old baby. Followed by the time we had to wait for our dinner to be prepared was too long. Also 60 minutes massage is offered for 60 USD, is a bit on the higher end. Minor repair work and maintenance on the pathway cracks etc is needed. Besides this we still enjoyed our stay, thanks to the Jacuzzi!

The beautiful resort is situated in the perfect location. Modern and clean resort with many amenities. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Huge compliments to the resort staff. The food was divine!! The best chefs. Stay was 10/10. Definitely recommend this hotel. The best in Trincomolee

Staff were very friendly, always there to help. We very much enjoyed our dinner, which food was a four course meal, beautifully presented and it tasted delicious. The room was very spacious, with beauty wooden floor and furniture, a spa with a view over the pool and lagoon. We took the bicycles and visited a beautiful beach only 5 minutes away.

The spas were a great addition to the venue as well as the timely room service and exceptional customer service
