I was a bit anxious before I got there. When I arrived I was greeted by Shayne was and is a very humble man as well as a gentleman, I was quite surprised to be greeted out the front, I can say that in itself is just something that you don't normally get from any or most places you go to, which was very pleasant and warming in every way., He showed me around explaining everything and showing me in the house. I was surprised to see how it was set up and the detail in especially the room itself it is pretty much self-contained with it's own bathroom, bedroom and just an inviting place it was very clean and tidy big enough room with couch and desk the bed was comfortable the room was bright just right for what I was looking for, the door has it's own lock, in saying this you are only getting the room there are prevision of course you are free to come and go the rest of the house is for private use only so you must and respect that, if you are in need of anything just ask Shayne is very reasonable and helpful in anything he can help you with, to make your stay enjoyable. Myself personally am very grateful for his generosity and support in making my stay quiet enjoyable. I highly recommend this place. I have a great respect for him. It's very reasonable priced for what you need it's close to shops transport and everything you need most of which is walking distance. But if you are just looking for a nice and pleasant place to stay and a quiet room to get away from the motel environment just for yourself or for two people, I don't think it's big enough for kids as well unfortunately. The amenities are very good big shower and big enough bathroom, basin wardrobe are quite modern. There is no TV but I didn't really miss watching it at all in fact it was quite a change not having it truthfully.

There isn't really anything I didn't like, there are other rooms in the house which are occupied by others just like you would live with your family except your not kids lol.

I did not have the breakfast. My room was very clean and comfortable. Shayne made it clear that if wanted anything I could ask. There was a kettle in the room. I was at work for long days so I barely saw anyone and it was very quiet. Once in my room it was like being in a hotel. I was able to order in meals for dinner and The Glen is close by. Considering the price, it is excellent affordable accommodation.

Given the price, I don't think there is anything that needs to change. It is a well priced, comfortable B&B.

Excellent cooked Breakfast, excellent clean room & awesome facilities & very confortable bed. Was peaceful very quiet room, a very comforatble environment with a nice energy & feel about the room. All my needs were met & I only had to ask & that too was accomodated for. Very friendly polite & very hospitable hosts. Was an excellent comforatble stay & feeling for me. Thank you so very much Shayne & your wife - much appreciated. I want to come back again when I need a room.

A friendly welcome to a large family home. Lots of shoes outside the front door remind me to respect that this is someones home and to take your shoes off before entering! The host is charming, chatty and very willling to make your stay a happy one and took much trouble to find gluten-free breakfast cereal and bread for me. This is a continental style breakfast you eat in your room at a time that suits you. There is kettle in the room for making teas. I also noticed an ironing board, if you need to press out your packed clothes. My ensuite room was clean and as comfortable as any good hotel, with a little balcony with table and chairs so you could sit outside and eat if you wanted. Your breakfast tray is left in your room and there is a small fridge on the landing. I arrived to a garden full of roses in bloom, which the owner's bees were busy collecting the pollen. Three cats made a homely feel. The house is in a quiet suburb, away from traffic noise was a real bonus. Glen Waverley's huge modern shopping Mall called The Glen is about a 15 minutes walk down the hill. Lots of cafes inside and outside the mall and an excellent well-priced salad bar inside in a centre isle near the Telstra shop. There is a pub, McDonalds and the mainline station there also. A beautiful native park just 5 minutes from the house. There is a good bus service to pretty much anywhere, and I noticed a bus route to the airport. Although I arrived by taxi and it cost me 110 AUD. (about a half hour drive). Ask the owner if he can provide a taxi service if thats what you need. Wi-fi was excellent, always a bonus when travelling. Thank you Shayne. Travelling as a single grandparent, I could not have been better cared for!

Room didn't have a tv or bar fridge, the communal area was very messy and crowded, kitchen almost unusable. The bathroom was grubby also.
