Shower on main floor had a constant leak. A toilet was "wobbly". Outside hose had pliers to turn on/off. Just normal issues. Overall, I would rent again.

La Buena Vista was absolutely impressive. . This is a very large home Conveniently located to the beach access and all of the stores, including Food lion. My family and I have been vacationing in Edisto Beach for years. We have never stayed this close to the ocean. The beach access was a short distance across the street from the house. The furnishings were very nice with a fully equipped kitchen. There were quite a few areas to spend time watching television or just playing a game with the family. The homeowner, Melissa, was very accommodating and quickly returned answers to any questions I may have had. My family and I have already started planning our next trip to Edisto and cannot wait to rebook this beautiful home.

Overall the house was very nice and clean. Pictures were as described, we only had a few things that wasn’t very pleasant. The refrigerator stunk like dead fish, we had to put baking soda in both the freezer and refrigerator side to cut down the smell. Outside spigot needs replacing, they had a rusty pair of pliers to turn on and off the water. There was no lighting outside the house to eat at picnic table, at least we couldn’t find the switch for an outside light. But the overall stay was very enjoyable and I would recommend this home to anyone of my family members or friends.

I would not want the owner to think we didn't enjoy our stay, we did, there were issues however. The day we arrived we realized the batteries were dead in the TV remotes so I asked the property manager for batteries and was told to use remotes from other sets around the house ( we all know that doesn't work), my daughter went to the store and bought a pack of batteries. The 3rd day we realized the dryer was not drying the clothes, we had to run it for 3 to 4 cycles for each load. We also realized that the dishwasher was not cleaning the dishes, therefore I contacted the property manager via text and explained that the dryer was not drying and the lent screen never had any lint on it and I was worried that the line was clogged. In turn I received a very long text to teach me how to dry clothes (I'm 55 with a family of 10) after going round and round I gave up the fight. She did inform me that a new dishwasher was to be installed 6 days after my 15 day rental (wish I had known), we spent 2 weeks hand washing dishes for our 14 family members. Our son and brother climbed into the attic and realized the dryer duck work was not connected to the other end and was filling the attic insulation with lint, also found that the belt for the motor was not on. Once they fixed this we had no other dryer issues (you're welcome). The main floor tub would not drain and would fill up while showering, my husband and son-in-law fixed it when they arrived a week later. There are some serious plumbing issues with this house, the downstairs ground level smelt of raw sewage, mold, and mildew, the bathroom floor sinks in when you walk on it. We always enjoy our trips to Edisto. This is the first time renting this second row house. The house was nice with plenty of space. It was nicely furnished. There is plenty of parking space which is really good. There were some views of the ocean from this house which was a plus. The only downside, the house is not close to a beach access which made it difficult for my parents, who are older to get to the beach. There are a lot of stairs with this house, including a small spiral staircase to get to the lower level. Great for young adults, not so much for older adults. There are three floors, which make it nice if you have several families going; however the lower level does not seem to cool as well as the other levels. Overall, it was a nice house.

We really enjoyed our stay, and we plan to stay again. The house is lovely with a spacious kitchen and plenty of room to spread out. The multiple decks were fantastic, and we enjoyed looking at the Milky Way from the top deck. The owner was highly responsive to all of my texts and responded with lightning speed. As a side note, we had a hilarious adventure locating the laundry room. There’s a closet on the main/middle floor that looks like it used to have a washer/dryer, but they’re actually on the top floor in a closet with mirrored doors.

Our experience was very easy. Melissa was always quick to respond to any needs or questions we had. The property was perfect for our family and plenty of space for everyone.

The location is perfect, close to the beach, and the few stores and restaurants on the island. The house needs maintenance. The icemaker and water dispenser in the fridge were broken. A number of light bulbs were out. The garbage disposal switch had no cover and exposed live terminals. The grill was dirty. The screens in the sliders in the upstairs master room were broken. The kitchen needed more utensils. The baking pans were really rusty. The dishes in the closet and the utensils had food on them. We had to wash everything before we used it. The microwave was old and rusty inside, though it worked. The furniture is old and not in great shape. You need to wash and dry and put away the towels before you leave and checkout is at 10:00. This makes for a very tight departure. We wondered if the previous tenants really bothered to wash them or not. We were charged extra money for missing pillows and a throw. If we can afford to spend over $6000 for two weeks, we really don't need to steal somebodies pillows! Obviously the manager was confused but we got tired of arguing with her about it. For the price it really could be better.

House was good. Had lots of space and location was a plus. We did encounter a few issues but not worth to contact property manager at that point. Oven was extremely dirty, shower in middle did not drain properly, pressure in showers was an issue when 2 or more showers were in use. Several light bulbs were bad and outside lacked any working lights (understand turtle situation but no working lights makes it difficult). Refrigerator needs urgent update, freezer barely makes ice and there’s frost accumulation. Fridge side is missing some side shelves and that is kind of needed. Kitchen needs more glasses and review of appliances, blender was a no use option. Overall good experience but just leaving these comments hoping owners can update things that can be missed if not informed.

My family of 4 had a great time. The ocean was too cold for us to get in and play, but the walks along the beach and fresh seafood at the island restaurants made up for it. We will be back. It was a lovely time. We did a day trip to Charleston and one to Savannah as well. Recommend this house as we had plenty of room to spread out.

The house was as advertised and only a short walk to the public beach access. We had four adults and four children and the layout worked well for us. The older boys loved staying downstairs. We really enjoyed our time at Edisto.

My family and I had another great vacation week at Edisto Beach! The house was large, with plenty of room for everyone! We were very comfortable all week long. The beach was just a short, easy walk across the street, and the grocery store was just around the block, actually within walking distance! The kitchen was well stocked, there were TVs in each bedroom, the house had WiFi, and the bathrooms were nice. We enjoyed our week in this house and look forward to returning next summer!
