Money has been invested. The decor is funky, the beds are comfortable, the bedding is good quality, the bathrooms modern, the common areas have been designed to look appealing. Inside and out, the hotel looks exactly as in the pictures. My room was big enough, it had a balcony, kettle, fridge, and good firm bed. The hotel was peaceful. Breakfast was included, and adequate. Wifi seemed good. The prices are reasonable given how modern it is. The location is quite good, just on the edge of the shopping, downtown area.

Investment in the building is great, but i don't think this has been matched by investment in staff. The reception does not seem to be staffed very much. During my stay, the front door was mostly locked, and you either had to have a key, or find a number and phone them to be let in (which I had to do on arrival). The staff I met were nice, they wanted to help, but spoke little English. I only stayed a couple of days, and therefore my comments may not be representative.

We’ve stayed here once before with no issues and decided to return. This time the bed unfortunately felt very hard and uncomfortable, causing a sore back the next day. We had a huge issue with our aircon which I will outline below. The location is great and the breakfast is lovely.

The conditioning in our broke in our room, this was very uncomfortable as it was very hot without it. We informed our host the next day and she told us on several occasions that someone would come and fix it. We waited until 10pm that night and no one had come, I called her to find that she had not yet had confirmation that someone would fix it. She then made a call and someone came to our room at around 11pm at night to have a look. He couldn’t do anything, just confined that it was broken and nothing could be done as it was so late at night. We had to spend another night with no sleep dripping in sweat as it was so hot. We requested to move rooms as it was so uncomfortable but this could not be accommodated.
