Property was really well furnished and decorated and had lots of little additional touches / provisions. Host went above and beyond.

Very cosy & comfy cottage, lovely inside, personal touches were great, ie. Cakes, biscuits, milk & juice provided and toiletries were there if required, cath & george very welcoming. Good location, very quiet but not far from the town centre . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and if visiting holmfirth again would definitely book here again.

The property was clean and tastefully decorated. The bed is comfortable and it is warm. The available space had been well used. It is within walking distance of the centre of Holmfirth yet is quiet.

I was expecting a holiday cottage as that is what I had searched for. This isn't a holiday cottage, it is a bedroom and bathroom with no breakfast provided. There is a small fridge, a kettle and 2 sets of crockery/cutlery. But that is all, so getting a very basic breakfast was a challenge (and preparing anything more impossible), particularly as all the surfaces were full already and there is only 1 chair. So someone has to sit on the bed to eat or take it in turns. Space is generally a problem - we struggled to find somewhere to put our suitcase and the only clothes storage was a few hooks and coat hangers. Often the only place to put something was on the bed. It would be fine for someone who doesn't eat breakfast and has very little luggage staying for just a night or so. For a mini break where we expected to cook our meals and be able to sit and relax with a good book when the weather was bad it was something of a disaster.

What a hidden little gem! beautifully decorated & spotlessly clean. Lots of perfect little extras left by the host such as homemade goodies, juice, teas & coffees along with toiletries & dressing gowns. The bed is the comfiest bed I have ever slept in & had me searching the mattress make & scrolling the internet to buy one for my home. Location is great with bars, shops & cafes a short walk away. I will definitely stay again

Great location! The owners/hosts of the property are so lovely and welcoming. Nice decor and very comfortable bed. There is everything you need and delicious treats. So clean and tidy. Really enjoyed it will definitely stay again and we definitely recommend the lodge.

Bed was super comfy, the place was clean, easy to find and a great location close to the centre. Hosts were great. And their homemade cakes we’re a lovely touch too. We will definitely be returning. Thank you!

It was everything we wanted

Great quality accommodation with lovely en suite. Well stocked with teas and coffee, and some yummy goodies. Great communication from host.

the cleanliness and comfort of the room, lots of extras, cakes chocolate, orange juice, fresh milk, water all in the fridge. All kinds of different toiletries available if you had forgotten anything. Cathy and George had thought of everything and were so friendly and welcoming, they made my stay excellent would definitely stay there again.

There was nothing not to like all was good lovely friendly couple everything was in the lodge that you need even homemade cake and flapjack on arrival is also in the centre of holmfirth so no need to use the car would definitely stay here again if in the area 😀 x

Absolutely fantastic, everything you would possibly ever need is available. Owners were very kind and even gave us a lift to the venue we were going to. Thank you again, we will be back.
