Wombat Cottage ist nur drei Minuten zu Fuß von Gembrook Stadtzentrum und all den erstaunlichen Cafes, Pub, Restaurants, Bäckerei und natürlich der berühmte Puffing Billy.
Kurze Fahrt nach Yarra Valley, Bunyip State Wald Kirth Kiln, 5 min Fahrt zum Forrest Edge Restaurant. Der Gembrook-Markt findet jeden letzten Sonntag im Monat im örtlichen Gemeindezentrum statt. Ihre Unterkunft ist in sich abgeschlossen und wie erwähnt nahe und in den meisten Fällen zu Fuß zu allem, was Gembrook zu bieten hat.

Dies ist eine völlig separate Einheit. Das Ferienhaus liegt 15 m vom Haupthaus entfernt. Sie haben eine eigene Eingangstür mit Schlüssel, damit Sie kommen und gehen können, wie Sie möchten.

Wir respektieren die Privatsphäre unserer Gäste. Wir leben im Haupthaus auf dem Grundstück, so dass wir die meiste Zeit zur Verfügung stehen, falls Sie etwas benötigen, ansonsten können wir jederzeit telefonisch kontaktiert werden. Wir können Empfehlungen für Aktivitäten, Restaurants und alles andere, was Sie sehen oder tun möchten, geben und es gibt auch mehrere Broschüren in der Hütte für Sie zu sehen.

We had a lovely stay at Wombat Cottage. This property was very easy to find. Checking in was easy and Yvonne offered us an earlier time which was lovely of her to offer.
The location is fantastic, a short (although uphill) walk to Gembrook and the local IGA, pubs and cafes are very accessable. It's also close to Olinda and Emerald Lake, we had lovely drives around the area.
This property is ideal for any length of time away, it had everything we needed and although it's located next to the owner's property, it is very private.
My only negative is the main bedroom had a double bed - it's been a very long time since we slept in a bed that size and we've both expanded since then!

The perfect place to stay to immerse yourself in a small community. Local markets on the weekend, beautiful bush track walks and mountain bike trails and great places to eat. The town swells in size when the steam train Puffing Billy arrives on some weekends. Everything is close to the cottage which is a very clean two-bedroom home with all that you need for a perfect holiday.

This place is such a cute cottage located a 5 min walk out of the centre of Gembrook, if your looking to stay in Gembrook this cottage is the perfect place!!

It was a lovely little cottage with lots of board games and toys for my child to play with while we were staying. Really close to the main road too, could walk to the restaurants easily.
Will definitely recommend for a small family!

I stayed here with my two boys who are 9 and 12 years of age on the night before my wedding. The hosts Yvonne and Bernie were amazing. Excellent communication all the way through from booking to departure.
The accomodation was extremely comfortable for all of us. Great, quiet location. Furnished well with ducted heating and functional kitchen to cook and dining area to eat. Fresh milk left in the fridge on arrival with a variety of tea, coffee, hot chocolate powder (kids loved the marshmallow one!), and marvellous biscuits. The bottle of wine was a thoughtful gift left by our wonderful hosts.
Bedding was comfortable and warm and we all slept well.
A great selection of DVD's the boys enjoyed watching (some great classics).
Thank you Yvonne and Bernie for allowing us to stay at your beautiful property. We would definitely book here again.

Unit was very clean. Everything we needed was there, extra pillows and big mugs. Very spacious living/kitchen area. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone.

Very relaxing
Felt very private even though it’s on the same property as owners. Great location, close to everything we wanted to see and do and easy walking distance into Gembrook for food, coffee and shops (it’s a very small town though and over a public holiday weekend there were a lot of places closed but we expected that, plenty more places open within easy driving distance). Deck area was so beautiful for afternoon cheese and wine. We really enjoyed our stay (both middle aged and not loud party people). Probably wouldn’t suit the opposite.

Lovely property in a couldn't-be-better location
Fantastic little cottage, all the things we could need had been thought of, very friendly hosts (respectful of our privacy too), and so close to the town but it doesn't feel like it is. Loved it and would recommend.

A clean and inviting property . Everything you would need and more is available to make your holiday as comfortable as possible ,what ever age you are . Yvonne and Bernie are available and stay in touch to make sure your stay is the best it can be .We were senior ladies and had an incredible stay .A most relaxing and fun experience in a beautiful setting .Happy to recommend .

A wonderful, easy visit
This was a great property for a family visit. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking utensils we needed to self-cater, and everything throughout the unit was sturdy, so we didn't have to worry about our son accidentally breaking things. There were heaps of toys and games, and plenty of space for a family of three to stay comfortably. Yvonne's communication was great, and we felt very welcome and comfortable. Thank you for a great getaway!

Loved our stay. Fully self contained. Everything you need and more. While the choice of fragrances and perfumes around the place were a bit overwhelming for someone who suffers migraines, everything else surpassed our expectations. The perfect place for a winter get away! Furnishings and heating very comfortable for a cosy stay. Would love to visit again! Thank you!

Very clean, felt like home
We arrived very late to the light being left on, an immaculately clean cottage, crisp clean linen, comfy bed, toys for our little boy, cold water in the fridge, tea and coffee and shortbread. It was like arriving at “nana’s” house where all effort was made to ensure you feel loved and comfortable. A short walk to the Main Street where we enjoyed great coffee and breakfast at the Hairy Dog - so delicious! We weren’t able to stay long, but highly reccommend it!

Neat, cosy and everything at hand.
What a gorgeous little place to stay in gembrook! Unfortunately we only stayed one night, but it was so peaceful we will definately be back for longer, to see puffing Billy and the amazing local cafes that are literally 2 minutes walk away.
Perfect house for a young family, our little boy thoroughly enjoyed the vast array of toys and hubby and enjoyed the quiet picturesque view while he was asleep.

Excellent accommodation. Well situated in a peaceful rural area with beautiful views across farmland. The cottage is perfectly presented, very comfortable and thoroughly clean with everything provided for self contained accommodation. The hosts are very pleasant and were available for any assistance required.

Excellent location, clean, tidy with all the essentials, great hosts
The property is a gorgeous little bungalow perfect for a few nights away. The hosts live on the property, but you wouldn’t know it. The hosts also had a small gift waiting for us knowing we were there to celebrate our wedding. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Three friends met up for the weekend to attend a creative workshop in Gembrook.
It was a cold, wet weekend and we arrived to a nice warm, welcoming accommodation.
The beds were comfortable including the sofa bed with ample number of sheet sets, pillows, quilts and blankets. Also the shower/bathroom was lovely. Plenty of hot water. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed and the kitchenware was all new. The hosts were friendly but not intrusive.

Wombat cottage is like a home away from home. It was clean and comfortable.The owners have put in a lot of effort to makeyou feel welcome.
A short stroll into Gembrook, you will find great eating places and Puffing Billy.
