We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this delightful one bedroom. Walking distance to the beach, retail shops, restaurants and grocery store. We would stay here again when we return next year for a visit.

BRIGHT AND COZY WITH GREAT LOCATION IN SM

I booked this property quite a while ago. I received confirming emails and then, on 11/20, a final confirmation and instructions for accessing the property. On the day of check in (Thanksgiving Day) which was supposed to be at 4 pm, I emailed the owner around 11am to see if we could get into the property a little bit early. I then received a voice mail message from the owner claiming that there were already people in the property and that I should call VRBO for help. Our Thanksgiving was ruined. I had to spend time on the phone - instead of with my family that we had flown across the country to see - to get a hotel room. Then, despite promises that “the rebooking team” would contact me the next day with options for places to stay for the remainder of the trip, I got an email telling me to find a hotel on the Expedia website. We had booked an apartment - not a hotel. This was a terrible experience. I have used VRBO for many years - in multiple countries - and have never encountered such a situation. We lost money - had to eat out 3 times a day instead of cooking for ourselves; we were jammed in one room instead of an apartment with space; and could not cook Thanksgiving dinner as planned. I believe the property owner lied to me. I would like to post a review to the property if the owner remains affiliated with you. Of course, he should be banned from your platform, but I have little confidence that will happen . We also were charged for a breakfast at the hotel where you booked us for the first night in spite of the fact that we were told that you had given us a $70 credit for breakfast.

This apartment is located on a beautiful street and vibrant,, safe neighborhood in Santa Monica. The owners are a lovely family who were easy to communicate with and who are eager to assist their guests. Great restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance, along with many shops, hair and nail salons, spas, etc. About 1.6 miles to the Pier, where my granddaughter spent many hours on the rides and playing games, along with building sand castles on the beach. The apartment is bright and the kitchen well stocked for cooking. Safe and comfortable. Would return.

It is a beautiful house. Just as described and the owners are so eager to make you feel at home. What I learned is to just ask them to come up and show you anything that isn't clear as technology is too smart and sometimes dumb. The whole place is a private getaway. Pin quiet -- all you hear are birds. So peaceful to aclimate to beautiful Santa Monica. The shops on Montana are great -- lots of self-care, organic teeth whitening. Loved Porto Fino for dinner.. Great location just off Montana, in an upscale neighborhood. The place was clean, comfortable,and well equipped . When we arrived there was milk and a nice coffee cake there—a nice touch.! The only thing that would have made it perfect for us would have been access to the back yard so we could have had coffee and read outside(they did give us lawn chairs to sit in front of the house, but we did not feel comfortable doing that.). otherwise an excellent stay.

We loved the neighborhood. It was close to everything we needed. Perfect for walking.

Sara and Joe extended a warm welcome “greeting” us with fresh danishes and milk after a long journey. Loved the neighborhood and family feel, proximity to Montana Restaurants & Shops, Beach, 3rd street and Highways. Bring a helmet, tons of bikes/ scooters to rent along the road down to beach!

Better than advertised.Our son and his fiancé stayed in this part of the house and loved everything about it.The privacy was the best part along with the overall comfort and space.This part of the home was a terrific bargain.Leaving today was really tough for them.

We loved staying here. It was very clean and spacious and an excellent location, just steps away from Montana Avenue and within walking distance of the beach. Joe and Sara were easy to reach and were very helpful when we had any questions.

This is an attractive, comfortable, sunny unit located in a beautiful neighborhood. It is just off Montana, and all its amenities. Check in was very easy, and parking was never a problem. Sara and Joe, the hosts, were very responsive when we had a problem with noise from an air conditioning unit.

What a beautiful apartment in Santa Monica. Just steps away from delicious restaurants and shops in a cozy, quiet neighborhood setting. We found The Courtyard Kitchen to be amazing and we had breakfast there twice in our short stay as it is only a minute walk. Driving was not over an hour to any of our tourist destinations. The apartment was clean and just as described. We had everything we needed for the three of us- even extra towels and toilet paper- which we have found to be rare in other rentals. The owners were very welcoming with lovely flowers and pastries waiting for us. We never needed to contact them- but had their numbers if we needed. I would stay again if I am back in the area again.

We had a delightful stay at North of Montana. The interior and exterior of the property was perfect for us. We were walking distance to interesting shops and restaurants. The weather was wonderful too.

We travel to Santa Monica frequently to visit family and this will now be our “go to” place. Great shops and restaurants on Montana. The property exceeded our expectations. We hope to be back soon!
