There aren’t many vacation rentals near Hilo that met the wish list for our family (2 adults and 2 teenagers): 3 separate beds (not just a pullout couch), air conditioning, washer and dryer, a parking space, and a water view. This VRBO had all of this and more! The 2-story rental home is beautiful and has stunning views of the ocean from both the ground level (four loungers) and the second floor extended lanai (four rocking chairs, outdoor dining table and chairs). Facing the east, the lanai is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee as the sun comes up and to eat your dinners in the evening. The pool, which is off the front of the house is also very nice. The two bedrooms on the first floor have king beds and share a Jack and Jill bathroom. There are blinds in one bedroom and an opaque screen that blocks out some light in the other bedroom. The bedroom on the second floor has a queen bed (because of the size of the room)and an en suite bathroom. Note that there are no window coverings on the second floor facing the ocean, except for a retractable shade in the en suite bathroom. But the host did provide a foldable privacy screen that stands between 5 to 6 feet tall, should you wish to use it. The home was centrally located to all we wanted to do in Volcanoes National Park (45 min drive), in Hilo (30 min drive) and excursions in the Hilo area (45 min drive), like waterfalls, zip lining, and horseback riding, I highly recommend this home!

Absolutely amazing stay at this home. The view never gets old! We constantly found ourselves sitting outside just watching and listening to the waves. The home was clean, well maintained and as advertised. I love cooking and the kitchen was excellent and had many staples already stocked. I really appreciated the video sent in advance walking through how to enter the gates and the home. After spending 3 weeks across 4 Hawaiian islands this was the perfect place to end the trip with a little relaxation. We will definitely return to this peaceful waterfront home in the future!

Communication with the property manager was disappointing. The front gate was difficult to open and close The stairs to the 2nd floor were a challenge. The house was furnished and supplied very well and the beds were excellent.
