Catalina's Got Cart Condo

The host was incredibly welcoming. She even picked me up at the boat station and drove me to where the golf cart was parked. She showed me the ropes on how to drive it and shared lots of really helpful information about the island. The golf cart was honestly a lifesaver! I was working at a wedding at Descanso Beach, and having it gave me so much flexibility. I also used it to get around town, go snorkeling at some of the best spots, grab lunch, and explore the island. The accommodation itself was great — clean, cozy, and very comfortable. It never felt too hot or too cold, just perfect. It has a really nice layout and feels like a little home, with books and tons of flyers and information about Catalina Island. Overall, I absolutely loved my stay and would happily come back. I’ve stayed in a few places on Catalina, and this was probably my favorite one on the island so far!

One thing to keep in mind is that the bathroom is located inside the bedroom. If someone is sleeping in the living room, they’ll need to walk through the bedroom to use the restroom at night. There are also quite a few stairs to reach the accommodation. There is an elevator, but you still won’t be able to completely avoid stairs, so that’s something to be mindful of if accessibility is important to you.

Customer service was excellent. Allison met us upon arrival with a golf cart ready to roll and we followed her to our place of stay. Allison explained the rules of the road, the condo and was available if we needed anything. The accomodations were spacious (we were a party of 3) and comfortable. Access to the cart was perfect for exploring Catalina.

Our trip was too short...next time will book an extra night :-)

Alison was wonderful meeting us at the ferry dock and taking us to the property. It was wonderful having the golf cart to get around and explore although you do have to park the cart offsite at night approx. 1/4 mile away. The bed was comfortable and the condo was roomy and pretty well supplied.

We are seniors with some mobility issues. While the property does have elevators, you still need to negotiate two floors of steps up and down to get into the condo. This wasn't stated in the listing. My main complaint is the pool and hot tub were turned off during the week. The pool/hot tub was my main reason for choosing this place. This also wasn't stated in the listing as was the fact you have to walk 1/4 mile to get to the place you have to park the golf cart at night. For this reason I don't feel we received full value for the cost of our stay. A better description would have led to us staying elsewhere.
