This place is a gem! The room was exceptionally nice, so spacious, gorgeous high ceiling, comfy bed, sweet balcony and modern, amazing jacuzzi and bathroom. The breakfast was extremely generous and delicious. Violetta came personally in the evening to let me in and very kindly show me around when my flight was late. This place is 5 stars.
Nothing.

Good breakfast. Large classic Italian room with a vaulted ceiling. Close to historic Catania and the Duomo
A lot of construction work outside the building and alot of graffiti on adjacent buildings

The woman who was there to meet us could not have been nicer or more accommodating. She was sorely understaffed but maintained a very pleasant attitude. The room itself was VERY spacious and quiet.
The outside of the building (street, sidewalk) was filthy and led to an impression that we were in a neglected, unsafe neighborhood. The parking lot was creepy and unattended despite being assured that someone would be there when we left early in the morning. Finally, the building itself is really poorly labeled because it is not on the street--it is on an inner courtyard. The only way we knew we were at the right location is I had the cell phone of the woman at the desk, who then met us on the street. Compared to prices in Noto, Taormina, Salina, and Siracusa, not a good value.

"Alles! Sehr zentral, sehr sauber, sehr gemütlich. Die Atmosphäre im Zimmer ist magisch. Das Frühstück war das beste, das wir bisher auf unserer ganzen Sizilienreise hatten."
