Definitely 5 Stars: We stayed at this lovely Nags Head home December 21-24 to kick off winter break from public school teaching in western NC; three of us plus our dog. We liked this house very much and were fortunate to have sunny, warm weather.
We found the home to be accurately described in the VRBO ad, comfortable and very clean. The interior decor is impressive with good floor plan. For us the location was very convenient. Everything in the home functioned well, was thoughtfully decorated and well-provisioned for our needs. There was parking space for 2-3 vehicles. Our dog also travels with us. There was outdoor space on the lot and the quiet neighborhood was pleasant for his walks. Just blocks off the beachfront, we also enjoyed pleasant walks to the beach. A few shops were close-by. We drove to buy groceries.
Terrific host! Communication with the host was easy. Access and host instructions were clear and readily available. Local area recommendations (restaurants, other) were very helpful!
Overall our experience was a wonderful first visit to OBX, meeting all needs. We enjoyed our stay and liked the house very much and will definitely consider this home again whenever our travels bring us back to the area! A happy, comfortable visit! Thank you!

We enjoyed everything about this lovely property. Amanda is such a kind host, the location is great, our kids loved playing there, and we had a blast. We especially enjoyed walking to Galaxy Golf and playing their two mini golf courses. Thanks so much!!

We could tell this home was cared for and loved. Amanda and Adam were responsive and so helpful. The house was so clean and just the right amount of space for our family. We particularly loved the screened porch and walking to The Spot for ice cream and coffee. Highly recommend!

Our family of 6 had a wonderful time in Nag's Head. The location cannot be beat - a short walk to the beach, restaurants, mini golf and ice cream...there is no better place to stay. The house is stocked with everything you need - including kids plates and cups! My kids loved the nearby park, and the ocean...the best. Super clean beach, plenty of space, warm water and lots of shells. Amanda is a phenomenal host. She called us as soon as we made the reservation to answer any questions we may have had, and she communicated us throughout the week to make sure we got in ok and everything was good. We had a wonderful vacation and will definitely be back!

We needed to book a last minute long weekend, and this home was perfect! It was easy to check in and out. The house had everything you would need to stay in and cook or go out to the beach. Great size and layout for a family.

Spent a long weekend here with some old friends from high school and we had a wonderful time even despite some iffy weather. The place was extremely clean and cozy, with many thoughtful little touches throughout. The walk to the beach is not too far, and we enjoyed being able to walk/bike to some nearby restaurants. Amanda was a great and communicative host. Definitely would stay here again in the future!

Great protperty, exactly as advertised, lovely location close to beach but with a more secluded feel then typical beach house given wooded lot. Tons of restaurants and activities nearby. Very clean and cozy, felt like a well-cared for and updated home. Would definitely return

We had a wonderful long weekend at Amanda’s house. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable just like the pictures show. Short walk to the beach, park & restaurants. Really nice location. We had a great time and enjoyed our trip even in off season. Neighborhood is nice and maintained. Kids loved the bunk beds and the toys & books that were provided. Plenty of places to explore nearby.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely house a quick 5 minute walk from the beach! Amanda & Adam were great hosts and the house had everything we needed, and was walkable to a lot of restaurants/bars near the beach. Would definitely stay again.

These hosts are super - they supply everything you need and more to have a great trip. (Beach chairs, boogie board, fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms) Our family and golden retriever loved the home and walkability to numerous great places.

The kitchen was fully equipped for us to prepare our Easter dinner, the newly redone bathrooms were very nice, and the bedrooms were comfortable. My 8-year-old son said that his bed was so comfy that it was the best sleep he ever had! The location was great. We loved being close enough to walk to restaurants and for ice cream (Surfin Spoon was our favorite). We walked to the beach and park almost daily and the area was very dog friendly. Yogi and Lucy made many doggie friends on our walks. OBX is our favorite place, and we would definitely stay at Carolina Dreaming again.

We loved staying at Carolina Dreaming during our Spring break. The cottage was exactly how it was described in the listing and was perfect for my family of four and our two dogs. Great cottage in Nags Head
The cottage is adorable and just roomy enough to fit our party of six. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking gear. Cottage was a short walk to beach which is one of the ones with bathrooms and showers, which was nice. Also it was in a great location for us to do other activities - Jockey's Ridge, mini-golf and go karts, and lots of ice cream/custard treat options! Plus Amanda was awesome to deal with - super helpful and very responsive.

Perfect family beach getaway
The house was sparkling clean, plenty of space to spread out, and met all of our needs. Loved that the property was shaded and we enjoyed dinners out on the deck. The location is great, close to the beach and lots of options for biking and walking. Amanda was a fantastic host and wonderful to work with. Can't wait to plan a return visit.

We loved our stay at Carolina Dreamin’! The host had everything we could have asked for and our family of 5 had plenty of space. The beach is a very quick walk, and overall the property is a great location. I would definitely recommend friends to stay here!

Amanda gave me great recommendations for a photographer when I wanted some family pics on the beach and Adam spoke with my husband on the phone prior to our trip to give him lots of tips and advice on fishing in the area. The list of recommended restaurants, ice cream shops and things to do Amanda emailed was also very helpful for us as first-time visitors to OBX. Overall, can’t recommend this place enough!

I’m pretty particular about where I stay, and this place was perfect. It was extremely clean, nestled in a cul- de-sac surrounded by shade tress which were great for privacy, a 5 minutes walk to the beach, stores and restaurants and only a few blocks from a great little park. The location was perfect for morning and evening strolls/ bike rides along the Virginia Dare Traiil and had the added bonus of the Farmers Market in the park on Thursday. The Millies have created the perfect spot and are kind enough to share it!!

We enjoyed beach time with our daughter and adult grandchildren whom we had not seen in over a year and a half. Beach supplies in the laundry room saved us buying beach chairs and means of getting them to the beach. Grandchildren enjoyed the bicycles.

Amanda was incredible, reaching out before and during our stay to ensure that we had everything we needed. The house was incredibly clean and had a ton of amenities for families. The location was great - within a short driving distance to restaurants/activities and about a 5 minute walk to the beach.

This place is absolutely perfect for a beach vacation. Super comfortable with an amazing location, can walk or bike to a lot of things in the area. The house is fully stocked with everything you need for the beach which make things a lot easier.

Perfect rental for family with 3 teens and dog
My family of five along with our golden retriever stayed for a week at this EXCEPTIONALLY clean home well-stocked with essentials. The owners went out of their way to provide “extra” touches such as a chilled bottle of wine. The outdoor enclosed room was a great place to hang out and play games on an occasional rainy day. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed biking to nearby attractions, such as Jockey’s Ridge. The walk to the beach was very easy, especially with the provided beach cart. The Sunday to Sunday stay allowed us to miss all the traffic crossing the bridge, so we were able to get to the rental without the craziness of the bridge traffic. I cannot emphasize enough how happy we were with the property and it’s owners. You won’t be disappointed!

Fabulous home, wonderful location
We LOVED our Thanksgiving visit at Carolina Dreaming! Well stocked kitchen, lots of nice touches by Amande (including some goodies in the fridge), and an awesome sunroom for playing cards and napping. The property exceeded our expectations! Don’t miss a hike to Jockey’s Ridge.
