Holiday Inn Guildford by IHG

Looks like the reception, bar area and restaurant have been recently modernised. It is lovely, very nicely decorated providing a great area to relax at the end of the day. Conveniently located for the A3 which was what we needed for our onward journey.

Room was ok but is in need of some modernisation, especially the bathroom. We had a fridge my parents fridge was missing. Just need updating.

The staff were lovely, very helpful and did everything they could do, there was a helpful man on saturday evening who delivered shower caps to a group of us as we had an event the next day and didn't want to get our hair wet, we were very grateful ! (Sorry I didn't catch his name) , Samantha was also lovely, but all of the staff were. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower had great power, really nice bar and lounge area too! Very close to the town centre and there is a big tesco across the road. Brilliant value for money !

Some of our group had refrigerators in the room and some didn't which was a bit weird, it should be in all rooms. The shower in our room, whilst it was good power, it wasnt hand held or detachable which can be quite annoying, and the gym closed at 7pm which felt way too early, but these things wouldn't stop me returning.

The view

TVs size and the server but there’s no refrigerator in side room.

The lobby area was a nice area to relax in.

The room was like a dorm room. Certainly not what I expected for the price I paid. Limited sundry items. The black out doors did not function. The housekeepers did not resupply coffee etc. The location required taxi to get anywhere. The food at the restaurant was overpriced.
