The Reef Retreat Palm Cove

Pool mainly to ourselves and lovely. All the things we needed in kitchen, laundry etc. Flexibility of staff eg pushing single beds together and providing us with extra sheets, towels etc

Shower water run off slow but ok. Drawers in main bedroom inaccessible, needed to be in different location.

Great location, good value, clean and quiet

Stairs - but only because my bag was stupidly heavy - so not the properties fault - I picked an upstairs room - should have maybe thought that through better.

It was located in a great spot. Everything you need is there or nearby.

* The location is very pleasant, close to Palm Cove Beach. * The swimming pool and jacuzzi are very nice and enjoyable.

* The hotel is somewhat run-down and could benefit from some maintenance and refurbishment. * When we arrived, the floor of our room was very dirty and covered in sand. I noticed it immediately because I like walking around barefoot, and my feet were instantly covered in dirt and sand. * The rooms do not have a proper indoor dining area, which, during winter when it is windy, makes having meals there rather unpleasant. * During our five-night stay, the towels were only replaced once. * The laundry facility is paid and does not provide detergent, so we had to buy a whole packet to use just once.
