Brides les Bains = good. Good ambiance. Hotel, good. Clean, warm, interesting building and locale, plenty of hot water - all you need without the frills.

Hotel - well now you ask, the decor could do with some sprucing up. The restaurant was a bit dull. No-one wants only raclette with no other choices for example. Breakfast a bit dull. Main issue - coffee from a machine & not particularly nice croissants. Get the staff to make decent coffee and get some decent croissants and you will be flying. Ditch the horrible (really horrible) English breakfast - you haven't a clue there. Come on, it's in France!

The location was good, quite close to the ski lift. The staff were helpful when I reported the issue with the bed bugs and they moved me to another hotel nearby.

The room had bed bugs, and because the hotel is not staffed 24/7 I could only report this in the morning so I had to stay somewhere else on the first night. The hotel have however confirmed they've since treated all the rooms to eradicate the issue, and they advised that unusual weather (late winter so warmer temperatures) could've been the reason the bugs were there.

room was 16 meters maximum certainly not 20 like it was said in booking, too small, cleaning was very bad, the hotel is completely old, in the room was even a smell of an old building!

Very friendly and helpful staff gave us the warmest welcome! We were able to stay and enjoy our stay with a dog. Very good breakfast included in the price. We also absolutely enjoyed the dinner. There is a convenient parking for free. All this is located in a few minutes by foot to the ski lift that will transfer you to the real mountain paradise!

Major says you don't need a winterisation pack in Bride. I believe he even guarantees it. Good breakfast.

Everything was fine all in all. Bathroom was clean and new, beds very comfortable, hot food was served at breakfast. The room was in good shape, and the location is cool.

There were several negative points to mention, BUT in general I enjoyed the stay. First, the hotel is not freshly refurbished (not all-new), you can see some wears and tears here and there. Second, in my room I had quite a nasty flow of air along the floor, which did not allow to walk bare-foot in there. Third, soundproof in the room could really be better. And finally, BEWARE of early check-out from the property. I was allowed to take my time and be somewhat late though, for which thanks to the staff (they were very nice).
