Lovely and comfortable, easy walk to the ocean, great restaurants and Live music night spots. Owner very helpful. Friendly neighbors added to our enjoyment.

We arrived late in the evening and the entire Condo was quiet and peaceful, and had a very attractive outdoor design for the entry area. From the Condo you really can just walk to the popular areas to dine and shop. For me we were able to walk five minutes away to the Luau at the resort nearby. Even if you are not much of a walker it really was that easy. The actual room at the condo was clean, well designed, comfortable, and we felt safe and relaxed. There are even house rules that were clear and easy to understand, and everything you need is there, though we didn't use anything but the bed and shower because we were always out. The security system made me feel as though my home base was safe while I was away. Well worth it.

Property is spacious with nice size bedroom and a sofa bed. Large kitchen with enough plates, bowls, cups and cooking utensils. Air conditioning works great. I did notice some small insects around the kitchen sink. Bathroom shower works great. The unit is upstairs on the second floor. Trash needs to be taken out downstairs across the driveway to the common trash bin. I would likely stay again.

Great place, well stocked. Just the right size. Be prepared for cockroaches…I was afraid of bringing them back home…saw about 10 total during stay. Super loud neighbors (talks loud early in the morning and stays up super late) so couldn’t get ANY sleep at all. Was very sleep deprived; being earplugs for sure. The upstairs people walked super loud.

The condo itself was nice. The door lock has been worn down so much that it makes getting into condo very difficult. When we arrived and were finally able to get the the door unlocked, the door latch on the inside was broken and was blocking the door from opening. After contacting owner, who was unable to do anything, we were able to push a key through the door opening and move the latch to open the door. We spoke to the owner again and finished removing the latch. As stated, the condo itself was fine, but the door needs repaired ASAP. Makes for a frustrating experience and decreased safety.

Excellent location to explore the island. Easy to get in and out of with good information about the apartment and area. Easy to walk to dinner if you want to grab a drink. Easy parking and access to the apartment.

The condo was absolutely lovely! Its very cozy and comfortable and its only a walk away from all the shops on Alii Drive!

The apartment was well equipped, nice location close to the centre, the ac is a bit wick. In overall it a good apartment!

The condo was cute but it had roaches. It killed all the good things about the property like the location, amenities, etc.

It was ok. TV did not work (no signal). Robin was totally available via text. Unfortunately she lives in Honolulu and there was no one else to help. Was it earth shattering? Nah. I was able to read and watch downloaded Netflix shows on my phone. Walked a lot..no car…. Lots of “stuff” close by.

We stayed here for our second half of our trip. It was in a great location. The place itself was quite small and was not stocked like most VRBOs that I have booked previously (no cooking spices and just a keurig coffee pot with no pods). All that being said, definitely book it if you do not plan to hang out or cook at the place. There are lots of restaurants nearby, within walking distance. Beach is close as well. Comfortable beds, including the pullout mattress.

Overall, place was great! Good location, parking provided, plenty of beach stuff in good condition. Everything was clean and labeled appropriately for easy navigation. Air conditioning was a bonus, and much appreciated after a long day outside. Owner is very friendly, and had quick response times when needed via messaging…or in the rare instance of a needed call because you may have locked yourself out of the condo by accident (oops!)! Overall is was a great place, and I would recommend to others as a very nice option which is clean and includes all needed amenities! Thanks for ensuring we enjoyed our vacation!

Poor pest control. On the 1st night, we saw 4 cockroaches (3 appeared in the Kitchen, 1 at the bathroom). So we didn't use the kitchen at all during our stay, just feel disgusting. We see cockroaches every night. It's doesn't matter how stylish it looks after renovated from an old wooden built unit. The problem is still there. Also, the host can't manage how the neighbours living either. It's disappointed experience.

This location worked well for us to walk for food and also to walk to the Royal Kona hotel to catch a circle island tour.

We had a wonderful time there except the upstairs construction that we did not expect. It went on for our whole stay at the condo.

The only thing I would say is that window screens in the bedroom need to be cleaned because they are full of dust and the neighbor above are super loud. Their kids were constantly running and jumper upstairs past 9:00pm. Other than that, it was a great place to stay and the location was perfect. Walking distance to everything.

You can't beat the location for the price. This was the least expensive condo this size with good reviews. We walked downtown one evening in 10 minutes. Nice not needing to worry about parking in Kona. Reserved parking at the condo was nice to know we'd always have a place. Good view of the ocean from either end of the stairways. Check-in/check-out was very helpful for complete independence. Owner responded quickly and was very helpful for the few questions we had prior to arriving. The condo was clean with well-stocked kitchen and bathroom, extra pillows/towels. Power strips in several outlets were a nice addition. A/C, oscillating fan and ceiling fans were much appreciated for the cooling and background noise. The beds were comfortable. Originally, I booked this place instead of another slightly more-expensive rental on the top floor with an ocean view, in the same complex, because this one had washer/dryer in the condo. However, two weeks prior to arriving, I noticed the washer/dryer had been removed from the listing details and photos. Upon contacting the owner, they confirmed this was the case and unfortunately the other place was now unavailable. I'm sure they didn't realize this was an important factor in our decision but it would have been nice to know as early as possible about this change. However, when I asked, the owner was helpful with details about the nearby laundry room in the complex of the building next door and how to use the PayRange app to pay. It all worked out well and we were happy with the setup. As listed in other reviews, no glass in the windows, just screens and metal shutters. Many condos in this complex appear similar. I didn't fully understand the significance until the first night. Noises from outside are very clear, such as the people in the parking lot at 10:30pm, the loud bird in the tree at 1:30am, the very loud car on the road at 2:30am and so forth. But with the A/C or the fan turned on, my kids didn't hear any of these. It took me a couple nights to learn to tune them out. The pull-out sofa bed was very noisy with any movement and pinging of the support springs. Kids in condo above could be heard running/jumping overhead. It takes several minutes for the hot water to finally heat up. My first shower was cold until I noticed the water was finally beginning to heat up as I finished, from then on I let it run until hot. The "solar-heated" setup maybe.

Really enjoyed everything about our stay. Walking distance to great restaurants, shopping and beautiful sunsets. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit to the Big Island. Thanks

Fifteen minutes from the airport, five minutes walk to the main drag on Alii, this condo is perfectly positioned for an immersive stay in the heart of Kailua-Kona with or without your own rental car. A reserved parking spot is available, and there are limited visitor spots available as well. We stayed for 28 days and found the condo to have (almost) everything we would've wanted when we reserved our booking last August. One of our deciding factors for staying here was the presence of an in-home washer/dryer unit. Between our booking and arrival, the owner did away with these appliances; there were coin-on washer/dryer units available for use in the adjacent building. While the owner may have had good reason for discontinuing the maintenance of w/d for renters, we were disappointed that there was no advance communication to this effect. We would have cancelled our booking and stayed elsewhere, but did not have that opportunity. Additionally, there was ongoing roof and loud maintenance work to the building for very nearly ALL of our stay, starting at 7:30am most mornings. We had no advance warning on this either, and when contacted, the owner didn't have information handy on how long (or what hours) to expect the work to continue. Caveat: We did receive three days notice before the water was turned off for three hours one of our final mornings there. The living spaces make efficient use of the limited square footage. We (a couple with a 7yo child) were able to sleep comfortably between the queen-sized bed and pull-out couch in the living room. Also, the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. Finally, there is a decent collection of pool and beach accessories on the little balcony, including a couple modern-fit snorkel masks. For those with kids, Honl beach is walkable if not swimmable, and turtles can be viewed in the tidepools at low tide. A mile down Alii, there is a great swim/snorkel spot for little ones in from of the King Kamehameha hotel. When you add the convenience of a free trolley running up and down the Alii strip every hour, it's easy to get most of your needs met. Live music needs can be met at a variety of places. The more happening spots are perhaps Gertrude's and Willie's Hot Chicken (which is a 1.5 mile walk or take the trolley to the Kona Brewery next door to Willie's).

Good place to stay. Off the main road so quiet. Easy to walk for dinner or snacks. Easy to communicate with owners.

Had to drive to beaches, but dining was walkable. Room was fine, fairly quiet and had fun with the snorkel gear.

Location was wonderful but a view would’ve been nice. Unit looked over a parking lot and balconies with clothes hanging on them or blankets for curtains. Unit was somewhat old looking. Floors were sticky. Had to kill a few roaches.

Great location - can walk to lots of shops & restaurants. The unit was very clean and nicely presented. However, the walls are very thin - you can hear any outside noises (namely, birds, traffic & upstairs neighbor), despite the a/c being pretty loud. Also, the bed was uncomfortably firm. I also thought it was weird they have a camera that points to the door. Didn't know about that until check-in. We were only there for 2 nights so we didn't use much of the appliances or unit amenities.

very nice condo, very close to city center. apartment was nice inside and clean, the pool was a hike to get to, and hard to find. the tenant in the unit above was a bit noisy. while it was close to the ocean, there was no view, which was disappointing, given its location and price. the condo is on the second floor, and with no elevator, thus was very difficult for my wife to get up and down to.

Unit was well provisioned with basics for cooking except no k-cups provided. Beach gear provided but very dirty. Close to restaurants and coffee shops. The unit was quite noisy from surrounding units, very loud people on parking area and whistling frogs. The bathroom needs a good clean and refresh.
