The staff were friendly (not their fault - they were doing their best) and the room was a nice size, with a good balcony and a super view on the lake (triple - lakeside).

The overall stay was a great disappointment and really not worth the price paid. We basically chose this hotel over other options (cheaper options) in Stresa for the indoor swimming pool, but the water was too cold, the pool room too cold and in general not inviting - asking reception to increase the temperature of the water had no effect at all (I'm not afraid of cold mountain lakes, but expected something different for messing about with the kids in a hotel). Other guests that we spoke to had the same complaint. The breakfast buffet had a large variety but the quality was not great, again especially considering the price. The bar area etc lacked interest and charm. Effectively this is a hotel set up for conferences and tour groups, but for "private" guests is very expensive for not that great quality. Better find something, smaller, closer to the center of town for much less money with a bit more charm and personalized service.

Room was good. Location is excellent. Staff is great and the swimming pool, although a bit cold, was very nice.

The food was very basic and expensive for the quality.

The room was beautiful with a lake view on Lago Maggiore, which is really the only thing you're paying for. However, we paid 210Eur/night, and the mini bar was empty (even though they have a buffet breakfast every day so doesn't make sense to have an empty mini bar), room service is very slow and missing basic ingredients (ordered eggs and avocado, they did not have avocado), the walls aren't sound proof so we could hear our neighbors, and the bed is a bit squeaky. Gym and Spa are also closed because of Covid (even though open everywhere else), so we literally paid 250Eur (all included) for a lake view. For what we paid, we would have preferred to stay in one of the adjacent hotels with better room service, food options and value for money.

We felt we needed more protein options such as an omelet. We used the train from Milan, so the location near the train station worked for us.

Lovely pool area. Large communal areas. Location to Strea and lake frontage.

Expensive breakfast. Didn't eat at hotel. Decor all a bit dated and slightly tatty. Could do with a bit of a revamp. Pillows not the best.

beautiful hotel, great staff and the pool was very relaxing.

The staff was very friendly, we managed to schedule our check out time a half an hour later with their help. The hotel has a very Wes Anderson like interior which is an experience on its own.

Rooms quite small. No tea/coffee maker.Shower very poor just small attachment on bathtub wall facing directly into bathroom so everything got wet when you used it. Hotel bar was a big open room with bright lights no atmosphere and closed at midnight even for residents!

Loved how magestic it was and how close to the lake. I didn't have a lake view but the view out the rear was stunning also! Food was good and the room although outdated was ok.

Didnt like that you cannot request an iron or have an iron in the room, instead was an ironing service. But if you arrive late the evening before a wedding then there is no chance to iron your shirt. Also in my room the phone did not work and the Internet is restricted to 1gb which by todays standards isnt much really.
