Montagu Country Hotel

Sehr freundliches Personal. Es gab ein reichhaltiges Frühstück und parken konnte man in einem abgeschlossenen Bereich.

Das Bad entspricht nicht mehr dem heutigen Stand. Bei einem 4-Sterne Haus liegt die Messlatte höher.

The staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. I appreciated the location of the hotel as we were able to leave the car and walk around Montagu. I'm not normally a fan of Art Deco but did enjoy all the beautiful art deco furniture and decorations that have been used to make this hotel unique. We ate dinner here and the portion was very generous, and the food delicious.

Quirky styling with original art deco features. Large comfortable room. Good location in the centre of Montagu. Staff very attentive and happy to help.

Food - breakfast was average, hot food orders not as requested (different foods), we ordered cakes from the bar area, both were stale and dried up. Dirty dishes and cutlery seen on top of our wardrobe, which was extremely dusty, obviously been there for a while. The whole hotel had a slightly musty smell, maybe the antiques. Car park had rubbish and pot holes.

Breakfast was good and the waiters were friendly. They checked on us regularly and always smiled we even spoke to the chef who was very friendly too. The toilet was clean and the shower was spacious and we could take nice hot showers when we wanted.

Carpets were smelly and needed a good deep clean. The stench of dirty carpets in the bedroom was overwhelming. the king size bed was very hard and uncomfortable. it would be better and more healthy to remove the carpets and put new main bed in room. A direct phone in the room to kitchen/reception would've been great for room service. Breakfast should've been included. Pillows were old and saggy which left me with a stiff neck. The jacuzzi we had to pay for and it was very small and dated fits two small people, the jacuzzi room needs better ventilation and is too small, felt like a dungeon.
