Leonardo Hotel Middlesbrough

The location near to the Station. The cleanliness and size of the room. The hotel facilities.

I would have liked a chair.

Slept well, comfortable bed and linen.

Carpet heavily stained. New parking regulations unacceptable.

My favourite aspect of the hotel was the staff! Extremely helpful and polite. The rooms were lovely and the bedding gave that extra bit of luxury. The shower itself was a little disappointing but the the bath made up for that. The breakfast was perfect.

I feel the Spa should be managed better. The floor was being wiped with towels and it was still very wet but with no slippery notices to be seen. No separate changing facilities could have been awkward for some. There were girls swimming in the clothes (denim shorts and t shirts) . Men were sat on the side washing inside their swim shorts, which really put me off! It also would be nice if there was some form of cold water available for after the heat experiences, people were getting straight into the pool as the shower only offered warm water.

Decent bar and restaurant area

Very noisy pipes/air conditioning in the ceiling above my room. Car park charges reset each time you leave the car park, I had to pay for 24hrs twice despite a total stay of less than 24 hours…scam!
