I absolutely loved staying at La Califa in the Palmeras rooms. An incredible view, very comfortable room, and amazing restaurant. I will definitely be back in summer to make use of the gorgeous pool.

If you are coming by car, be prepared that parking can be a bit of a challenge, but they can help you with that or you can park in one of the public lots.

A true gem on the top of a beautiful hill in southern Spain. Las Palmeras del Califa is an exceptioanl boutique hotel, with lovely rooms, an amazing restaurant (that has a beautiful garden) serving delicious, Moroccan-inspired food and very nice staff. It was a surprise for me to find such a well-run hotel in a small village in rural Spain. I had a great time.

The location in the middle on Vejer is the best. The hotel has been created out of a lot of original village houses and is quirky and different. It has a lovely terrace for evening drinks and a very good Morrocan restaurant which is not to be missed. Tables need to be reserved in advance.

The parking is not straight forward but is available in an underground car park nearby and once you have worked it out, it is worth using.

Amazing bedroom, wonderful views and direct access to the swimming pool. The place was beautifully decorated, warm and cosy. Really good attention and friendly staff. The recommendations for food were spot on, delicious!

We reserved this as a birthday treat, as it's a bit out of our usual budget, but it was well worth the money. We had a beautiful, comfortable room with good views of Vejer and a balcony overlooking the pool where we watched the swifts chirping around in the garden with an evening drink. The location is great, right on the beautiful plaza and a short walk from good restaurants and sights. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was ridiculously good. Really difficult not to overeat here. All reasonable measures were being taken to ensure a covid-safe stay (the kitchen area for guests to use was closed), and we were still able to enjoy the pool. A very pleasant and relaxing stay.

It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room (though it was great to have complimentary coffee and tea and a kettle- unusual in Spain).
