Amazing caldera view and hot tub. Perfect location and helpful hosts.

Amazing view from our balcony of the caldera. Not too busy. Walkable to Fera but great restaurants in the area.

Bed was small and no drawers to put your clothes away.

I chose this hotel completely by chance and, for the price, I did not expect anything special. However, I was pleasantly surprised from the very beginning. First of all, they contacted me the day before my arrival to ask how I was and whether I needed any help. Then, on the day of check-in, they sent me clear instructions with photos, so the whole process was very simple, without any bureaucracy or unnecessary waste of time. As soon as I entered the room, everything was in perfect condition. I was especially surprised by how clean the floor was; it was clean enough to take off my shoes and walk barefoot. The kitchen was very good, with a coffee machine, cutlery, dishes, and everything needed for a comfortable stay. Snacks and alcoholic liqueurs were also provided. A special thank you for the cooperation with the nearby hotel On The Rocks. I used their pool, beautiful bar, and sunbeds, and there was wonderful music playing. In the morning, it was also possible to order an excellent breakfast there for an additional fee. This cooperation is an incredibly pleasant bonus, and the owner deserves great respect for offering it. The view itself is beautiful. After walking across the whole island, I would not say that it is the very best view on Santorini, but if we speak about the area near the capital, there are very few places better than this corner. It is a very pleasant place to end the day. I would recommend watching the sunrise somewhere else; this place is more ideal for a sunset. If I were to suggest one improvement, it would definitely be a paid minibar with some drinks, such as champagne. However, there is a supermarket nearby, so this was not a real problem. Next time, if my budget allowed it, I would probably choose the partner hotel On The Rocks because of its incredible staff. However, if there are budget limitations, Veranda View is without any doubt an excellent choice.

My only remark is that this hotel is more suitable for physically strong people. To get there, you need to walk uphill for quite a while, and to go down, you need to use stairs. But this is more useful information for people who know Santorini only from pictures.
