Domaine Maison Dodo

We had the most amazing stay at Domaine Maison Dodo and genuinely couldn’t recommend it highly enough. The location is perfect for exploring the Dordogne and is also really convenient for Bergerac Airport. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, the rooms are gorgeous, and having the pool to relax by made it even more special. What really made our stay, though, was Gaspare. He is so warm, friendly and welcoming and truly seems made for hosting — although I think his greatest talent has to be his cooking! Every evening we were treated to an incredible three-course dinner, with superb wine pairings to go alongside it. The food was honestly one of the highlights of our whole trip. Breakfast outside in the sunshine every morning was just as lovely. Gaspare was incredibly attentive and quickly picked up on all the little things we each liked and didn’t like, even remembering that my mum and I preferred our coffee made differently. It’s those small touches, alongside all the bigger ones, that made us feel so well looked after throughout our stay. A beautiful place, incredible food and a genuinely wonderful host. We’ll be recommending Domaine Maison Dodo to everyone and would absolutely love to come back. Thank you, Gaspare, for making our stay so special! ❤️

The Domaine is very peaceful, and conveniently close to Bergerac, less than 10 mins by car. Gaspare is a fantastic host. He makes you feel welcome and nothing is a problem. He is a super cook also and we had dinner there twice, his surprise menus were excellent, paired with wine made from the vineyards on the property. The room was spacious and well appointed, and airconditioned which was very much needed in this summer’s heat. We loved everything about the place!
