All good, sad the bridge is under repair. But not a big problem

The location of the barn is wonderful tucked away for quiet relaxation but only a 5min drive into the village. I woke up every morning and sat outside (weather permitting ) with a hot mug of coffee fresh air and watching the lambs play in the field. When solar wind flares would be high you definitely at night would get a chance to see the aurora. (Sadly they were not high when I stayed) But i got to see the beautiful night sky. The barn is only up the road from zip world forest so if you enjoy zip lines and adventure it's a wonderful place to go. You are only around 45mins drive away from other places like llanagollen,conway llandudno. Really had a lovely time .

I am using this section not to put my "I don't like comments" but to make people aware of little tiny issues for people who may have never stayed in the countryside or a barn before ,these things it just can't be helped. The place of course is a refurbished barn. So do expect a low ceiling in the master bedroom you may bang your head a few times. There is only a tiny fridge with just a freezer box. so you will have to plan meals if you wish to cook . Or you need to eat out . It does get cold so stock up on the firewood There is sheep /livestock in the field right outside the barn , for me I loved this, for them I was basically staying next door to there home . but for some people they may find this a issue . There is work going on with bridge so you can't take the short cut to the village . It's not a long walk to the village but you may wish to take car.

The cottage was more compact than we had anticipated. More suitable to a couple or a couple with 1 or 2 children rather than 4 adults. No windows in the living room or upstairs bedroom. No wardrobes. Quite dusty in places and behind the sofa especially needs a good hoover and dust. Very low pitched ceiling in upstairs bedroom. I kept banging my head and i'm 5ft 5" The upstairs bedroom is open and visible from the living room below, hence no privacy. No dog walk near to the cottage. The adjacent fields are private with prohibited access and sheep. The small steep grassy area to the rear of the cottage was also occupied by sheep and full of sheep poo and not a suitable walking area for either dogs or humans The bridge advertised as providing a short walk into Betws y Coed was closed throughout our stay and has been for a number of months! This was a huge inconvienience for us as the alternative walking route into Betws y Coed was quite a long way in comparison to what would have been a manageable walk across the bridge for my 80 year old mother in law. The longer alternative walk runs alongside main roads with no opportunity to let the dogs off the lead! The cottage owner informed us shortly before our stay that the bridge was closed but stated that hopefully it would be open by the time we arrived, however on reading the local paper, repairs to the bridge haven't yet been given the go ahead and it is unknown when the bridge will be open to the public again?
