The apartment has a beautiful view from the balcony over the garden to the mountain. If there were showers, we enjoyed the view through the glass sliding doors. The kitchen was very well stocked with cups and plates, and also a big basket of coffee capsules. The lighting was excellent, both natural and artificial. It was a pleasant 10-minute walk along the stream to the shops or the Monday morning market. We also walked to the ruined fortress and to the Napoleon III bridge. We drove 30 minutes to the Cirque de Gavarnie hike. Not to be missed!

Be aware that you need to complete a 12 page agreement (mostly a detailed inventory). Before I left home in Australia, I printed an English translation so I could understand it, printed and signed the French agreement, scanned it, and emailed it to the owner. I also purchased 450€ cash for the security deposit, which I got back at the end of our 3-day stay. Elsewhere in France, my credit and debit cards were sufficient for most transactions, except for small amounts for street markets or a city tax. These things weren't a problem, just surprising.
