Very clean and cosy. Had everything we needed for a three day stay

Is a long way down a single track lane which could be tricky to drive at night

Our beautiful cottage was the perfect little get away in the perfect location for where we wanted and needed to be locally, the cottage had everything we needed and more, we made use of the swimming pool, sauna and games room. The weather was miserable so unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor facilities, however we would love to return so will hopefully get a chance next time.

The lane leading up to the cottages are narrow with not many pull ins, however it's a quiet lane and we were lucky that no one approached us en-route.

  ⭐ Lake Chenwru Cottages — Full Review ✨ What we loved: The ladies at reception were so friendly and welcoming — it was lovely to be greeted so warmly. Great having essentials like salt, sugar, and tea available to buy on site. The facilities on-site were just as impressive. The swimming pool and sauna were lovely and warm — such a real treat, and perfect for families. We also made good use of the entertainment room and enjoyed a few games in the well-equipped games room. We would have loved a gentle walk around the lake if we had a map spotting all of the beautiful wildlife — a walking map provided to guests would be wonderful, as we weren't quite sure where to go. Robin Cottage itself was lovely, and the views were absolutely beautiful — such a peaceful, scenic spot. This cottage offers the perfect blend of luxury and comfort in a serene, rural setting. Whether you're looking to relax, explore the beautiful Welsh countryside, or enjoy quality time with family, this place has it all. We’ll definitely be returning — highly recommended!     Overall a wonderful stay — these improvements would make it truly perfect! 🙂   Looks great? 😊

💡Suggestions for improvement: - Signposting: The signs leading to the cottages are quite small and not very clear — easy to miss - Robin Cottage: Needs a new microwave - Shower: Quite noisy when running - TV: The TV is positioned awkwardly — you can't see it from the chairs, and watching from the bed gave us neck strain. It's also far too small for comfortable viewing. A larger TV in a better position would be a great upgrade - Welcome essentials: It would be lovely to receive complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, and salt sachets for your first day - Walking map: Providing guests with a map of the local walks and lake paths would be such a helpful addition - Bedding: In many modern UK hotels the usual sleeping layers are simply: • Mattress protector • Fitted sheet • Duvet with duvet cover Luxury hotels may add: • An additional flat sheet between you and the duvet • A lightweight blanket • A mattress topper for extra comfort Our bed only had one layer of bedsheet, which made it feel like we were sleeping directly on the mattress — more layers would make a big difference to comfort - Access road: Some sections have no bollards or lighting — it feels quite unsafe, especially arriving when it's dark - Car park: Also very dark at night — some lighting here would be reassuring
