Being up in the hill in Nara was really special. We hiked to the top and saw the sunset from the nearby temple. We loved watching our deer companions hanging outside our room.

We had a wonderful stay. It is inside the park directly where the deers are. It is amazing to see the sunset close to the lodge and enjoy the park when tourists have gone and early in the morning when the park is very quiet.
The apartment has everything what is necessary including washing machine.
We came by train and bus. From busstation it is a 10 minutes walk through the park to the house. Easy to find.
On the photos it looks like there is a terrace directly From the apartment going outside. This was not the case. Our apartment had a big window where you see the deers, no terrace door. One apartment had a door, but you do not have your own terrace. Outside is the pathway for visitors. Anyway, you cannot really open the door as deers would come inside to the apartment.

Location is exceptional. You are far from main touristic mayhem.
Deer are always available and it is not the mean kind of deer that harass you for food.
We booked for 4 beds. We saw bunk type on the site. Unfortunately 1 bed was a sofa bed that was very very uncomfortable. The cushions were soft but so soft the wooden frame cut in your back.

This was such a wonderful find! We loved how the deer came right up to our door and the beautiful temple is literally right at your doorstep.
I have no complaints.
