The privacy, very secluded peaceful mountain top. Very spacious and clean.

Not enough cookware to cater for large family cooking, only small pans available. Poor internet signal. The hot tub had headrests broken and the sofa needs replacement (peeling off fabric).

Great place to stay, views were amazing and the house is lovely. only half an hour drive from Portimao circuit and 1 hour from Faro airport. would definately come back at some point

the only thing this property lacked was air con. which made the rooms a little warm at night even in October. watch out for mosquitos too they seem to be very hungry.

Bernardo met us at his restaurant near to the property, and we followed him in his car to the villa which is tucked in the hills on an unnamed road! He then showed us around and how things worked.

Nothing, we loved it

I will leave an extensive review, mainly useful for families with young children. We have a 2.5 yo toddler and a 10 mo baby. The house is very clean (the cleaning ladies did a great job), spacious and looks even better than on the pictures. Almost everything is new but still has everything you need when cooking or just relaxing. Our children enjoyed the automatic shutters haha and all the space they had. It’s also very childfriendly since there is a fence around the house and of course the swimming pool. Beds are good and new. It’s also nice that because of the automatic shutters it’s very dark in the sleeping rooms. It has 3 bathrooms so our son had his own bathroom, he was very happy with that haha The jacuzzi was also very well cleaned. Bernardo is very kind and helpful. The restaurant they own is also the best in Monchique, in our opinion. Don’t forget to book a table beforehand.

The villa is exceptional, location is great and all facilities are fantastic.

There was nothing that we didn’t like, the only advice I would offer is a car is essential if you want to get around.

Top, top, top! We enjoyed so much the spacious house, more than enough for us a family of 4, the silence, the village of Monchique and nearby restaurants with great food Luar da Foia, A Charrete,... The pool was just perfect and the house comfortable for a summer house, perfectly clean and equipped with everything we needed. The jacuzzi was an extra treat for the end of our days there, spent in the SW Portugal beautiful beaches (+/- 35 minutes distance to Aljezur coast).

Nothing! The only negative point, turned out to be a blessing for us...internet doesn’t really work here most of the time and this turned out to be extremely positive!
