The amazing views, best breakfast in Italy, friendly staff and location’s access to ferry terminal!

A hotel was in a great location, right by the ferry to other small towns on the lake, yet with the windows closed it was quiet from the people boarding the ferry. Beautiful views, comfortable and cheery rooms, friendly and responsible family-owned staff. Luigi was friendly and responsive from the time I made reservations from the U.S. through the visit. Breakfasts were wonderful, and they accommodate gluten free if you let them know in advance of your stay. Though the elevator was small (one person with 2-3 luggage), I was glad we didn’t have to lug our bags up the stairs! My favorite accommodation on our whole 10-day visit to Europe!

Such a great place! The stuff was lovely and the room was fully renovated Highly recommended!

the staff were so friendly and accommodating. they bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed. upon arrival they reserved a prime table for us at their restaurant. Additionally, the Varenna train station was closed due to a landslide on the tracks. the staff arranged for a taxi transport to take us to Lecco so we could catch our originally scheduled train. Not to mention the property is beautiful and PERFECTLY located for hopping around lake Como.

The room was spacious and clean, the breakfast was delicious. Special thanks to the hotel staff, they made the stay very comfortable. A thousand times regretted that after that we checked into a hotel in Bellagio

The location was good, very close to the train station , in front of ferry station and walking distance from downtown. Breakfast was excellent, fresh made eggs to the taste, very good coffee and very good service.

Super convenient location, clean

The leader of the hotel is a brilliant person. Kind, helpful, talkative, a charming Italian woman :) The rooms are big enough, and have a beautiful lake-view. The harbour is next to the hotel, which makes everything easy. We'll come back with piccolo Pandito:).

There were no proper curtains in the windows. Nobody could see in the room, so it’s not a privacy issue. It’s just really bright in the morning and you can’t block the light without curtains. There was a lot of dust on the bed side tables and on the phone (that didn’t work when I tried calling the reception). No sound proofing. I could hear everything people were talking in another room.

We stayed in room 25 and were so pleased with it and everything about this hotel. The views of the lake were spectacular and the hotel staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful. We arrived by train and departed by ferry, so the location could not have been better for us. Our stay was in mid-October so there were fewer dining options but also fewer people. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is gorgeous and in such an excellent location. We had a lake view room with a beautiful little balcony overlooking the lake where you could watch passerby. The ferry terminal is directly opposite the hotel making it easy to visit other towns in Lake Como and the train station is also within walking distance. Varenna town is a short walk with lots of lovely restaurants to choose from. Breakfast each morning was perfect, we had a lovely selection of continental breakfast items to choose from and the coffee was delicious. If I return to Varenna in the future I will 100% be back!

location location location right next to ferry stop so a great spot for people watching from the sunny balcony. Real Italian ambience, welcoming and accommodating staff. ask for room 26 and you won’t be disappointed.

Family run hotel five minutes walk from the train station. Fantastic for people watching as situated close to the ferry boarding area. Excellent views of the lake from our room on the third floor, lift access, which was a good size with an en suite bathroom. Small balcony gave us outside space which we enjoyed watching the sunset. Free Wi-Fi was available in all areas of the hotel. we enjoyed B and B and a wide choice available for breakfast with a cooked egg option upon request. An adjoining restaurant run by the family offered a wide menu and good selection of wines and cocktails for the evening. All staff were friendly and spoke good English. I would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay in Varenna.
