A great location over looking the town while still only being a few minutes to the main square. Our 3 bedroom apartment over 3 floors was spotless clean & had everything we needed for our stay, including a very comfy bed! The poor area was lovely with nice beds & umbrellas, there is also a ‘self service’ honesty bar which is a great idea if you need a drink. Miguel & the team are all all friendly & helpful.

Everything was good

Really clear instructions for arrival outside of hours. The place smells lovely as soon as you walk in. There are lots of really cute and quirky spaces in the place and everything feels well maintained. Not that I utilised it but the addition of an honesty bar is a really nice touch. My room was spacious and well equipped with an iron and ironing board, hairdryer, decent sized bottle of water on arrival, toiletries etc. The bed was nice and big and comfortable. I didn’t get to see much of the staff but those I did come into contact with were all super helpful and friendly. This isn’t a large hotel with a 24 hour reception, it’s got more of a B&B vibe which makes it feel cosier and more relaxed.

As I say, I loved a great deal about my room. However, with it being right next to the reception area, I was awoken a couple of times during my stay while people were accessing the honesty bar and chatting and laughing. It’s not particularly sound proof so it may be an idea to have a notice advising guests to be mindful of noise levels late at night or early in the morning so they don’t disturb others.

Madeira apartment: Staff were extremely helpful. Easy check in (after 4pm). Nice private garden terrace to rear overlooking pool and small terrace to front. Extremely comfortable extra large bed. Liked the one floor living apartment

Upper shared outdoor communal area is tired and requires attention. Bathroom shower needs regrout. This particular apartment has no oven or freezer. Ice can be obtained from reception. The apartment has a microwave with a grill. This could be made a little clearer in property description.

The facility is really clean and the apartment was well stocked with relevant appliances. The wi-fi worked well as did the air conditioning. The views from the pool are wonderful and the pool itself was good.

We were aware when booking that we did not have much of an outlook from the apartment we were staying in. However, access to the pool area is not quite as simple as stated and there are not enough loungers at the pool area to satisfy the number of guests.
