Working shower

Superb Customer service, I arrived and had been allocated an upper floor room, the gentleman on reception saw my walker, and immediately said there's a room on the ground floor, we'll swap you. The room was a decent size, bed nice and comfortable, and a nice shower.

The staff was lovely ! The lady we met that checked us in was absolutely perfect at her job.

On the evening of our stay we returned to the hotel. My partner was walking so he returned to the hotel a little later. I went to the desk to ask for another room key as I didn't want to wait for my partner. The night porter (male) gave me the wrong key. I told him that this was the wrong key however he argued and argued so I took the key and it didn't work it was the wrong number. I explained this to him and he got very aggressive. He then gave me another key that I told him again was the wrong door and he argued and argues with me and said it's the right one. I then walked off again and again it was the wrong key. I then came back with the key and requested he walks with me to the room so I can show him what room I was in and he refused. I even asked said I would wait outside and tell him everything that was in the room. He became very aggressive and asked me to actually leave the property. I was so scared as I had nowhere to go. I then called my partner and luckily he came in and helped me persuade the night porter that it was our room. I refused to leave at this point I was very upset and shocked I had been treated like this if anything it's something you see on tv. We finally managed to get into our room unfortunately in the night I became unwell with my blood pressure and stayed longer on the Sunday. The lady that again was amazing at the start allowed us longer. I wouldn't of minded paying as I was so u well but she said it was ok. We travel to Torquay with work and friends and stay at many hotels but I'm unsure if I could use this hotel again after the experience with the night porter. I would like to say thankyou to the lady on the desk she was so welcoming and even showed us other rooms for the future she definitely is an asset to the hotel. If there is cctv I would recommend the hotel watch the cctv .

We stayed twice in this hotel the first time was summer it was lovely, we returned a couple months later it was just falling in cold there was no heating in room the pool was freezing cold compared to our previous visit and the saunas where out of order and the bathroom in our room was really shabby. Not sure what happened but not sure if we will return.

Jacussi didn't work, steam rooms didn't work, tiles around swimming pool are dirty. room was dirty, dust on surfaces, mould in the shower cubicle, rubbish under the bed.

This place had a pool indoors and hot tub outdoors, beautiful terrace, beautiful views

1. Booking.com (initially!) said 'No prepayment needed' /pay later at the property'. I thought great , i ll just pay with cash or our debit card when I get there. Next thing I know hotel charges me the full amount 3 days prior to my arrival.... Upon my arrival questioning the staff was pointless, they said they don't know why it happened, they said 'contact booking.com' 2. Shower was falling apart, and you had to run tap in the sink in order for water in shower turning hot, or running ar all. 3. Never got my towels replaced. 4. Room was never cleaned (bins were replaced & toilet paper...very very thin!) 5. Room 9 I stayed in smelled strongly of swimming pool, as if I was actually staying in swimming pool area, no joking! 6. Bed sheets smelled of cigarettes 7. Hotel offers two WiFis, none of them work in rooms. Maybe in reception 8. After all of this complaining I was offered to move to Room 11. Oh brother! That Room smelled as if someone just had a smoke in their. And because I refused to change the room , hotel refused to provide partial refund for my troubles. 9. You get constant calls from 02081642202 (customer service group related to this hotel), checking on you whether you checked in, checked out then how was your stay... Well I complained, of course. All I got "oh sorry to hear that. Thanks for your feedback'. No offer of refund, no credit, no voucher, no nothing.

The staff was amazing, Very friendly and helpful especially the night porters.

Hotel has a problem with maintenance. Had to change rooms twice: first room on the ground floor the window wouldn’t close or lock, 2nd room the TV didn’t work.

The hotel was completely shocking, no staff. I wasn't allowed to use the swimming pool for some reason. I had to wait half an hour for the shower to warm up and I had to ask for toilet paper

Location great, 10 minute walk to town Leisure facilities were fab we used indoor and outdoor pool, games room, jacuzzi and steam room (also a sauna but that was out of order) Really lovely friendly staff especially lady on reception in mornings (long dark blonde hair) Room was small but I had booked a small double, perfectly adequate for a one night stay for two people

Curtain rail was not working in room and curtains hanging off, held together with a bulldog clip advised reception on way out that needed to be fixed No bar (Arabic owners preference) but they are happy for you to drink your own wine in public areas, and there’s a little tuck shop for kids selling soft drinks, chocolates and crisps

Good location, clean room, comfortable bed, lovely outdoor pool which I used several times. Basic but perfectly adequate breakfast. Overall a lovely stay in a good value for money hotel 😁

more on checking rooms if its clean or not.. the bathroom (shower in water drain ) is really smelly🥺🥺😓.. the swimming pool we expect is dirty 😔. when we enter the room we can't smell good and most of all the WIFI is very very very slow/poor.. wish to prioritise all of these..

The swimming pool was out of action which we wasnt told about. The hot tub also didnt look clean. We mainly book the hotel to use these so was very disappointed we wasnt told about this on booking or even checking in. No information was told to us when we arrived.

Receptionist was lovely.

Place was dated, and filthy. Paint all over carpet in room, windows were filthy, shower was mouldy, curtains hanging off, decorators tape left on light, damaged furniture, garden was overgrown with rubbish on it and tavky garden furniture everywhere invluding an old bbq, hot tub had bird excrement all over it, water was disgustingly filthy and murky, outdoor pool was covered in leaves and dirt. Just vile. Fire precaution notice on door said no kettles in room............there was a kettle in the room 🤣
