Beautiful location- scenery is stunning. Hotel welcoming, comfortable and high quality decor and furnishings. Bedroom and en-suite were very good size and tastefully furnished and warm and comfortable. All the staff were very welcoming, polite and friendly - special mention to the front of house duty manager who made us very welcome- we had arrived 3 hours early. The food was delicious and service excellent. We thoroughly recommend this hotel as a must for a stopover on the NC500 trip or to stay for a few days.

just looked to have carried out a major refurbished and looks lovely. just opened the day before we arrived so still a bit chaotic but the staff were lovely and providing us with a lovely bottle of Prosecco as compensation was a lovely touch. setting fabulous. hope it’s a great success.

This hotel has been completely refurbished and is wonderfully comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast were both superb.

Lovely hotel with great staff. Room was very big and clean, with complimentary gifts on arrival. Breakfast was included and food was very good. Room with a view over the water, would highly recommend staying here.

We had the Duke of Sutherland room: wow!! View on the ruins of the castle, fireplace, old-school luxury. Great beds. Rebekha is a great host.
