Fuji in the morning, kind hosts, location, I slept well on futons (the rest of my group didn't, so it's individual)

Soooo, first things first, when we arrived we were met with quite a chaos :D We didn't expect the facility to have lots of sheets and blankets at the front. While I booked a room with beds instead of futons, we were still given the futon ones. I'm not sure that they have beds at all. The men's public bath was closed during our stay, so to use the public bath we have to go in rotations(?) - when girls go, they put "women" wooden table, when men go, they put "men" which wasn't very convenient. The bath itself is quite dirty...we had hair in water. The slippers are also worn out already...The doors and floors are squeaky so everyone hears everything. Shared restroom could also be better Of course, Fuji and experience itself outweighed the drawbacks

The hot springs... they weren't clean, the room was with cal and I don't know, it didn't feel clean

The location, the view, and the onsen. The staff/owners were also very kind and welcoming

The futons were quite uncomfortable especially as we are foreigners and I don't think we had set them up correctly. Some guidance would have been appreciated.

The owners or Maruyaso were absolutely lovely! Even though they didn’t speak English, they did their absolute best to show you around with google translate. It was also cool to stay in a more traditional ryokan room, even though I did not have the Fuji views a lot of reviews mention. The old house itself also had a lot of charm. Unfortunately I also found the room to be quite dirty. There were quite a few hairs on the floor, as well as in the bedding that I doubted had been washed. I had checked out the showers but they weren’t really private showers and also didn’t look too clean, the showers are next to an onsen that’s open 24 hours and it’s just an open space with a row of showerheads.
