Terrific location, seconds from the beach and near town but not too near. Very nice breakfast although same dishes offered every day. Staff very friendly. Very large and comfortable front terrace with view of the sea, plus smaller balcony in the back. Good and easy wifi access.

Would be nice to have room service. Trash cans needed by the beach. We were not advised that we had to pay in cash; luckily we had it. More daily variety in breakfast options.

Good location on the beach, walking distance to town, beautiful beach, chairs available, plenty of small restaurants on the beach. Big room, nice and attentive personal. Highly recommended.

A bit of confusion with breakfast, it's on the remote location provided by a different hotel, vouchers are needed every morning, and receptionist is not always available to issue them. Someone with English language knowledge would be nice in a tourist establishment.

The room and grounds were very clean. Looks right at the ocean and beautiful beach. Staff was pleasant, friendly and helpful with any need.

Building is old and worn and so are the appliances (fridge died, door lock stopped working, toilet water running all the time, hair drier died,…). Staff is helpful in fixing, but it can be annoying. Also staff doesn’t speak a single word English. Wifi is bad and often stops working at all.

The location was right in the beach, the internet work real well.

We only have one set of towel for our 3 day stay. The breakfast was ok nothing fancy but was included in price of the roon, so the price was right. Good coffee.

Breakfast outside on the beach: too many people close to each other

A pizza box left in the room by previous guests. The broken chairs in the balcony. The noise all over the place. We had to leave earlier and owner refused to take emergency into account and made us pay the 4 nights.

Breakfast was great, many options by the beach. The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful. The apartment is big and comfortable. Bed is great.

The street between the hotel and the beach is a little bit noisy. The living room air conditioning was not working, the shower is not great. What was really upsetting was that they did not accept credit card, despite the fact that booking said they would. It was a problem, since we did not have cash. We were able to transfer the money, but if we were from another country, it would probably be a huge problem.

This hotel is situated directly at one of the best beaches of Samana and close to many restaurants and beach bars. The apartments are spacious and have a functional balcony to hang clothes and a nice one facing the beach. Breakfast is served at a partner place, Eden Beach Club, directly on the beach, and these guys are AMAZING! Gael, Stuart and their team contributed largely to our fantastic holidays, being super friendly, actively looking to support our holiday planning, always with good music and atmosphere and of course tasty meals, snacks and drinks.

The owner creates an atmosphere of tension and bad mood. We did not feel welcome as guests even though his staff was trying to compensate for his grumpiness as good as they could. Unfortunately he treats them in a very bossy way in front of guests, we felt really sorry for them. After making this point to him, he didn’t acknowledge the facts but offered a free dinner the day after. We didn’t accept the invite because it didn’t feel genuine and his behavior didn’t change. The rooms should be tidier, e.g. there was hair in the shower when we arrived. The room was only cleaned three times during our 9 nights stay and it was all a bit superficial and quick. The furniture is old and the cushions should be washed. It didn’t feel comfortable to sit on them.

The breakfast was great, on the beach. The staff were really lively and helpful: such a great friendly atmosphere. Apartment was really comfortable. Good aircon, extra towels and things such as sugar supplied when requested. Really recommend it. The location is absolutely amazing. So beautiful.

I have been stay at the Marilar a few times, the breakfast at the sand and the location of the facility are the most I like. The apartment is good and comfortable. Planning to go back soon!

This place has an absolute great Location, right in the center but quiet and on the beach, and staff is super friendly and professional, well organized, beds are comfortable, everything is sparkling clean, showers have nice water pressure and warm water, towels are nice, everything in perfect order. I would stay here anytime again!

The private terrace with table and chairs allowed for breakfast with a beautiful sea view. The sailing/beach house decoration of the apartment was really nice. The apartment was really spacious and comfortable. Private parking was available.

Elevator not working. No help provided to go up the stairs to the second floor with large suitcases. The staircase inside the apartment leading to a small bedroom is really steep even for athletic people.
