Settlers Inn

Stayed here in September. 2 double bed room. Check in is at the bar attached to the property. There's no reception area as such. The rooms are accessed from the rear street. So leave your luggage in the car, check in at the bar and drive to the rooms around the back. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is tight. All rooms are up a flight of stairs, so anyone with mobility requirements should call ahead and confirm what is suitable before booking. The rooms are modern and renovated. Clean, well finished and much better than the exterior you see... The bed wasn't comfortable for me, but that comes down to personal preference on firmness. We stayed midweek and had a quiet stay with no noise from the bar.

We were travelling with grandchildren, playground was great, sports on tv, meals delicious. Clean comfortable accommodation.

Personally, I would prefer ground floor, but not available. Bit a big deal

Room very good, really clean, excellent bathroom. Appears to be recently renovated.

No indication room had to be accessed by very difficult outside stairs which were not in great condition. By outside I mean on the side of the building! They were concrete and I tripped. Also, and this is my oversight, there were no utensils, glasses, plates or bowls. There were four mugs and a microwave, nothing provided to even wash a mug. I just presumed that some of these would be provided. I guess they want you to eat in the restaurant but as that is not open in the morning, there was no crockery for breakfast. After hours of driving, I just want to heat something up and eat in the room.
