Doric Hotel

The comfort the staff was excellent

Food was beautiful spa was lovely I would recommend this hotel to everyone The location was good there a tram stop just outside

My two adult children enjoyed the pool it was a bit run down and could do with updating but the temp of the pool and jacuzzi was really warm and they still enjoyed it.The Entertainment was on every night starting with bingo at 8:45 followed with Entertainment at 9 we enjoyed the entertainment, the dining area is modern and clean we had breakfast package the food was lovely 😊the toilets downstairs were nice and modern but had a funny smell assuming it was the drains same problem with the bathroom in our room however it didn’t put me off we had a Newley refurbished room on the 4th floor that I requested if it was available before our stay we had a sea view room that was unexpected so was a nice surprise we found the beds to be comfortable even though we seen a few bad reviews about how uncomfortable beds were I am not sure if this was down to preference or the fact we had a newly updated room and we had new mattress maybe, the hotel was very quiet during our stay we quite liked it though our last day was on a Saturday we went out for the day and when we returned later that day it was so busy you could barely move I am glad this was the last day if it had of been that busy every day I think I would of spoiled our experience but it can’t be helped obviously busier weekends

I found some of the staff to be a bit unfriendly especially one of the night porters if that’s what he was also my son got asked for ID at the bar he is only 19 and does look very young so I could understand them asking to see it but we were there 5 days and he got asked by 3 different barmen on 3 different evenings even though one said to my son “I know you have showed your ID to the other barmen”who was working with him that evening “but I have not seen it” I just felt the constant checking a bit unnecessary if they have been told by another staff member they had checked his ID already when I handed my key back the reception on check out he just took our key and never said anything not hope you enjoyed your stay or thank just grumbled and took the key said nothing I found this to be rude

Food was very good

Would be nice if the car park was bigger but we found space nearby.

Was easy access to trams

The lady at reception with long hair not the friendliest was like it was an issue to ask her something
