Salzburgerhof, das 5-Sterne Hotel von Zell am See

The hotel was beautiful. We had a nice clean room with balcony and pool side views. Indoor swimming pool also nice and the Chambermaids were lovely

We did not feel comfortable in the restaurant. We sat outside overlooking the gardens, which was nice, but there was no atmosphere and our waiter was very rude, he made us feel like we were in the way and we couldn’t relax, which is a big let down for a 5 Star hotel.

Das Frühstück hatte alles was man benötigt. Unser Zimmer war seeeehr schön und die Betten waren mega gemütlich! Der Wellnessbereich und die Anlage generell waren super schön und gepflegt - Alles Top!!

gefallen haben mir das freundliche Personal, das saubere Zimmer und die gute Lage. Ich würde die Unterkunft gerne weiter

Es gab nichts, was mir nicht gefallen hat. Ich war mit meinem Aufenthalt rundum zufrieden.

The room was fantastic, restaurant and spa staff very friendly, the pool was also nice. In particular many thanks to the restaurant staff who were always friendly and did their best.

Reception staff - unhelpful, incompetent and plainly do not care. That’s wouldn’t be acceptable for 3 star or any star hotel. We got our room much later than check in time. Reception staff kept saying it will be ‘another 20 min’, while it took hours and we got the room only in the evening. Surely this can happen. However this business, you need to know how to handle situations like this, if the guests are already there. What usually happens in such circumstances is the hotels offers something as a kind gesture- be it a free lunch, drinks on the house or something that is extra to us. It makes you feel welcome. The staff couldn’t handle this situation, we didn’t get even apology just got sent away multiple times. We also didn’t get any information whatsoever upon arrival. That’s 5 star hotel - pleases at least if we’d like to hear about the facilities. Our last e counter with reception was when they told to ring the bell ti the garage to return bicycles. No one was answering for 15 min, to which they later said ‘there was no one at the reception probably, just keep ringing’. We have avoided reception at any circumstances after that. It’s a shame because the rest of the staff is amazing.
