Apartamentos Babalu

We love staying at the Babalu it has everything we need its basic but that suits us. Nice big balcony with sunbeds sun all day on balcony. Room is very basic but has kitchen facilities fridge etc. Hairdryer in bathroom. Rooms are cleaned regular. 2 pools at apartments and a small kids play park no bar pool area kept lovely and clean. Apartments right across the road from the Europa centre plenty of bars restaurants and supermarkets great value for money would highly recommend.

Poolside apartment was convenient for a disdabled guest and in convenient proximately to the lift.

We have been regular guests at the property for many years, but this was our first visit since the pandemic. Unfortunately, the poolside bar and supermarket has now closed, leading to elderly guests having to make an uphill trek to buy supplies for the self-catering apartments. We were unable to source a parasol or loungers for the patio, which in past has been provided. The pool now has a fence erected around its perimeter with opening hours of 10.30 - 18.00. In the past this has been an open area to swim at your leisure. We felt restricted with these hours given that the temperature was in its late 30's. Staff did not seem very helpful with these matters, and as a consequence we found alternative accommodation and checked out 6 nights early. Overall a disappointing stay, to what has been a very pleasant place to be in the past. Please bring back the amenities you once had.
