Hotel Taj Resorts

Staff are super helpful and welcoming. Rooms are fine, a little outdated, but reasonable indian standard. Breakfast was good. Rooftop restaurant has view of Taj Mahal and food is fantastic. Best thing about this place is that it's walking distance to the Taj Mahal and is good value for money.

Nothing to say simply value for money more then what we pay. Some hotels collect 4 to 5 k but not provide Any facilities but taj resort worth for money what you paid .

The food was excellent, and the live music in the evening was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. The hotel also has a great location.

Apart from these positives, our overall experience was disappointing. Honestly, this hotel did not feel like a 4-star property at all. Based on our experience, it felt more like a 2- or 3-star hotel due to the poor housekeeping, lack of maintenance, and disappointing hospitality. 1. Housekeeping and Room Maintenance The room was not properly maintained. Toiletries were missing, a wet towel was left in the room, the door latch was broken, and the room felt damp. Housekeeping needs significant improvement, as these are basic expectations from a hotel claiming to offer a 4-star experience. 2. Swimming Pool Cleanliness The swimming pool was another major disappointment. Since it is an open pool, there were bird droppings, leaves, and bugs in the water. Although the pool was chlorinated, it did not look clean or inviting. We requested the pool to be cleaned twice, but it was still not cleaned. This raises serious concerns about the maintenance of the facilities. 3. Poor Room Service and Staff Behaviour When we requested a room change, we had already used one water bottle. The staff member literally asked us to return the bottle. We explained that the bottle could simply be left in the room for us to use the next day, but he bluntly insisted that we return it. Such behaviour over a single water bottle was unnecessary and made us feel unwelcome. It is disappointing when a hotel focuses on something so trivial instead of ensuring guest comfort. 4. Unwelcoming Reception and Travel Desk The reception and travel desk staff were not particularly welcoming or accommodating. When we requested a cab, we were told that we had to pay first before they would book it. Considering that we had booked two nights and already paid the full amount for our stay, this approach was quite shocking. They could have arranged the cab and then requested payment. The overall attitude felt transactional rather than hospitable, with payment seemingly taking priority over guest convenience.
