It was described accurately with no surprises.
small area for parking if you have a car but they make it work even with lots of snow!

Exceptional location, unbeatable price/value ratio, especially if you compare with new home rentals around that are easily 5 times the price... And the owner is very friendly and helpful, very good for a taste of Japanese hospitality

Wow! What a deal! 5 minute walk to the gondola, boots dried out by the morning. Easy to access ski storage. Bidets. This place has it all. A public onsen is a short 5 minute walk as well and there are myriad food options close by. You get more than what you pay for - especially considering the surrounding options. Wish I tried the dining options and the neighboring izakaya
I mean - this is a legacy family home. Are the carpet and decor old? Yes. Is the bathroom on a different floor? Also yes. But for this price, you can't afford not to stay here. Drinking water tasted a bit... chlorinated? But at least you know it's safe!
