very old hotel. everything need some works. “party” spirit on the pool when I would like to relax. small exterior area. many areas look like “under construction”

Room was a bit dated. A bit far from the shopping area, but easy to find.

Large room and bed

We booked deluxe premier room which was shown on booking.com. The image on booking.com showed a larger room, compared to what was initially offered to us. I insisted to the reception that I wanted to change the room as depicted on booking.com site, or I would just ask for a refund because we wanted to stay for three nights at the end of the year and we did not want a much smaller room that they offered. In addition, the room that was initially offered to us, the bath tub had a large stain. That was why I wanted to also change our room. At first, the reception told me that all the similar rooms were already booked, but long story short, they gave me the room similar to what I booked on booking.com. it took about 30 to 40 minutes to settle this problem by the time we checked in. The room that they offered the second time was significantly larger that what was initially offered to us. Whatever the reason was, the hotel should inform us or at least describe on any online travel agent platform that they advertise on that they have two sizes of deluxe premiere types of room. This will help to minimize this kind of incident in the future. The air conditioner was centralized, hence, we could not control the room temperature. ... The parking space was rather small, the breakfast selection and food options were limited, the room needs to be well maintained and renovated. The pool needs to be cleaned regularly also the child's playground. We also need to change the kettle in our room because the one that we got was already stained. The bathroom needs to be properly renovated. The robe towel that we got also had some dirt which made us call the housekeeping to change it. ... The location, even though it is close to Malioboro, you still need at least 15 minutes of walk. If you bring children less than 7 years old, you might want to consider other forms of transportation. ... With the price that they offered, I would rather choose other five stars hotel in...

Very nice location near Malioboro area. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

The whole building really needs a refresh. It looks like it's been abandoned for several years. The reception and lobby area might look ok, but some other common areas are totally outdated. In the bedrooms, the bathrooms seriously need an upgrade! Not worth the price or the 5* ranking.

Huge bed, clean, friendly staff, breakfast ok (not a lot of sweet choices)

Too cold even with AC on 35° (must be broken). Old and worn down. Shower was too low, so I had to bend to have water on my head. Part of the wall was crumbling. Hairdryer stopped functioning. The faucet was loose. This is where I learned that stars mean nothing.

Good location, friendly although sometimes slow restaurant staff

Bathroom quite old and shower curtain too short for bath so bathroom flooded Very close to approx 5 Mosques so got woken up by call to prayer each morning which lasted far longer that in any other Muslim country I have visited/ lived in
