Excellent central location in the village market square. Very nicely decorated and beautiful old building with lots of character. We had an excellent dinner and breakfast which we felt was reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and attentive and we felt very well looked after. The courtyard at the back is covered so if warm enough it is a great location for afternoon drinks. Cocktails were also great! We will come back.
Some people might be bothered by the stairs, so worth thinking about if you have mobility issues. I can imagine in peak tourist season that parking might be a challenge, but we were able to park for free within 50 meters of the house no problem.

Location and breakfast
Had room 5 which was in the roof. Double bed was small. Odour from sewer stack from the en-suite.

We had a lovely stay at The Great House with a good dinner and breakfasts
We were disappointed that our room wasn’t serviced during our stay so dirty cups and glasses not cleared or tea/coffee/water replenished. We had expected that service at the minimum for the room charge
