De Hoek Country Hotel

Location location location!! Excellently placed - super clean - amazing food (Chef Wonder is incredible!!) The reception made us feel like we were the only persons around

There was nothing not to like ☺️

Staff were very helpful, friendly and service was excellent. Food and resteraunt were exceptional, Rooms were very well equiped with everything you could need, very comfortable bed and linen. Highly recommended

Nothing

De Hoek is beautifully designed giving one the quintessential country living experience. Its grounds are beautifully manicured offering a tranquil environment for resting, relaxing and recharging. The rooms are tastefully decorated, opulent but equally homely & comfortable. The staff are all incredibly warm and hospitable; they go out of their way to make your stay memorable. The food was fantastic too, every dish a visual delight with amazing flavours! We enjoyed our massages too as well as a special picnic to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Every detail was well considered making for a lovely celebration.

Nothing. Everything was exquisite.

Beautiful gardens and clean well kept room

This is not a five-star experience for the price charged: attention to detail was lacking (eg. only one teaspoon at the coffee station, mismatched glassware). Serious safety incident occurred when a pack of wild baboons entered our room, caused significant disruption, and broke items; we were moved to another room only after requesting this, as it was not initially offered. Baboons were frequently present on the balconies, a situation that requires urgent management attention. Breakfast was sufficient and pleasant, though not particularly memorable.
