The Thatch House Boutique Hotel, Hermanus

The view , the food ,the cleanliness and friendly staff

The cold swimming pool

This hotel is incredibly relaxing and set in the most beautiful grounds. The garden is stunning, with gorgeous views of the mountains on one side and the lake on the other. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. The food and cocktails were delicious! We visited in winter and unfortunately didn’t have the best weather, but I can only imagine how even more beautiful the hotel must be in summer. Our room and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable. The room was beautifully decorated, and we loved the little touch of fresh flowers from the garden being placed in the room. It is, overall, such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. They even have a wood-fired bath near the lake, which was such a wonderful experience! We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing getaway.
