A gracious and elegant property with wonderful gardens, a pool and the most welcoming of staff. Set in the lush suburb of Karen its a sublime place to stay

Just exceptional on all levels, location, staff, food, pool, gardens, owner Chris was super lovely. Can’t fault it at any point !

Small thing but probably a few sun loungers for the pool area but no big deal

Everything was simply perfect ! The people were very very kind, the house is beautiful, wonderful energy there, the garden, the pool, the lounge. Food from breakfast to dinner was delicious. William was especially lovely, such a kind soul ! And Christian the owner was very thoughtful. We would go back tomorrow and stay longer. We enjoyed the calm and the fact that the house is hidden away. But also well located !

Beautiful place tucked away in magical gardens. The staff were super helpful and even packed us a nice lunch for the day we did an early morning safari.

The house feels like a home and very cosy. Chris, the lovely owner, and his wonderful team made us feel very comfortable. Lovely terrace and garden!

Beautiful planter bungalow look from the front, great for pictures. Food was tasty and staff great. Nice and quiet in the morning and felt relaxed.

Far away from main city, no TV in the room, toilet commode was stained and had to get it cleaned. Light shade missing in the toilet. No roomed bottled water. No toilet amenities. Only 2 tables to dine down stairs. Had to eat upstairs in the corridor whilst guests walked passed. Lots of mosquitoes. Limited menu that remained the same for lunch and dinner. Breakfast menu confusing. Kitchen walls dirty. No TV in the room.

we loved our stay at Karen Gables and felt very much taken care of. the house and garden are amazing and one can easily feel like being at home. we definitely want to come back some day!
