Gasthaus zum Guten Glück

The property was a bit further from Zurich HB than we thought. Through our own ignorance we took a taxi which cost a fortune! There is actually a train station entrance within a few minutes walk, a bit longer if you don’t already have tickets. We received a warm welcome and useful information about the area. Our room was compact but still adequate. The bed was very comfortable and WiFi was fast. The shared bathroom and toilet were close and spotless. There are a few restaurants within walking distance. We didn’t have a meal at the property but you could. There is a bar downstairs where you can eat until 8 p.m. We tried Lily’s for dinner, a short walk away and the Thai food they served was delicious. As stated on the booking platforms, there is no lift but we are in our 70’s and managed. Perhaps the property is a little expensive but it is Switzerland and prices are higher. We would stay again.

Friendly staff, lovely quirky room - very spacious and airy. Great location for public transport or walk to city centre in about 20 mins

Nothing

Trendy neighborhood, excellent spot for brunch. Perfect for one night - it’s with shared bathrooms on floors, very clean.

Staff were excellent, very helpful. Let us store our bags before check-in and after check-out. Was a nice place to have a beer and chill out

The coffee / tea station had no coffee, luckily there are coffee shops everywhere, but would of been nice to have a first early morning coffee in our room
