Hotel d'Allèves

This is a spendid hotel. The staff were welcoming and informative. We were given a city map on arrival. The room was large and well appointed in a vintage style. Breakfast was superb. The chef cooked eggs to order, so they were fresh and hot. The range of cold food was amazing too. Great location, walkable from the railway station, but also walkable to the lake and old town in the opposite direction. A good price for Geneva.

Overall it was brilliant, so the gripes are tiny! Firstly, it would have been helpful to receive the free city travel pass in advance so that we could use it on the train from the airport into the city centre (assuming it would have been valid for that). Secondly, there was no kettle in the room, which was a shame given that there was a fridge. We stayed at a different hotel later in the holiday, which also had no kettle in the room on arrival, but I was issued with one when I asked at the desk. Perhaps the same applied at Hotel d'Alleves, but it didn't occur to me to ask and we weren't told. As I say, the hotel was wonderful, so just comments here, no complaints!

Location, comfort, breakfast and staff were very helpful

The elevator was very small, didn’t go all the way to the top floor and took a long time

Superb room with everything anyone could want. Bright bathroom. Helpful friendly staff. Amazing breakfast.

Good location.

Room very old decor, terrible plug sockets.
