Top!
Frühstück war hervorragend. Weiter so!

Great hotel, nice decoration, wonderful view, great garden.
The shower was not warm at all. Maybe I was just unlucky.

Sehr schönes Hotel, nettes Personal und gutes Frühstück.
Zu wenig Plätze beim Morgenessen. Unangenehme Wartezeit.

Room view was amazing, the venue is beautiful, but the absolute 11 out of 10 was the people that works there. All amazing
The dinner in the evening was not nice at all. Such a shame

Prachtig gelegen klassiek tophotel, prima restaurant !

Very stylish old hotel , but old in a good way. Very helpfull reception and the staff in Bar was excellent. The room was Classic in style , not modern and that was OK. I was lucky that the EV Charger was free ( 20 € ) and that was nice.
There was only one and that would be good if there was some more…We were very happy about stay.

It is an old, aristocratic yet beautifully renovated hotel on top of a hill, surrounded with trees and an amazing view to the lake of Varese. The room was big and comfortable. The restaurant of the hotel also excellent. Breakfast was also fantastic. It provided gluten free options as well. Provides also free but guarded parking.

Part II of this absolutely memorable stay at the Varese hotel! The staff's warmth and hospitality made me feel right at home. The view from my room, the convenient access to the city and lakes made it an unforgettable experience. And not to forget, the pool added a perfect touch of relaxation to the stay. My dog even got treats on the day of the check out!

Fantastic value for money. Only stayed one night, wished we stayed a little longer due to the facilities.
The grounds with a swimming pool and lots of outside seating made it very relaxing.
Stunning restaurant setting in the evening.
Little dates in decor in the rooms

We loved the style of the hotel. The people at the reception and the cleaners were lovely.
We didn’t like the fact that there were no kids friendly meals in their restaurant and the people in the pool bar serving were quite rude. Especially a woman. Took ages to get served and not even a smile or a thank you!

The hotel is a charming and very nice place. We had a room with lake view. You really feel like entering an old palace. The breakfast was great. The food was very fresh (e.g. croissants were freshly baked). I recommend to visit the restaurant in the hotel garden (you have to make a reservation due to high demand). During our visit they had live music (opera singer) and it felt like a real dining experience. The dinner was very tasty.
Nothing in particular. We arrived by car. Probably a bit difficult walking up and down the hill to visit the city of Varese but on the positive side it was really quiet.

First impressions of the hotel are positive. It looks attractive as you enter the grounds and the reception is grand. Room size and bathroom are generous. Pool area is nice.
1. Bedroom walls are wafer thin. We could hear the families from both sides as if they are in the room. Quite possibly the thinnest walls ever encountered.
2. We booked for dinner in the restaurant. After 40 mins of waiting for someone to take a drink or food order we got up and left to raise this with reception (note everyone else had been served drinks and were receiving food). The response was disgusting and we ended up leaving the hotel to find dinner elsewhere.
3. The lift fits only 4 people, is old and slow so prepare for long waits to go to/frpm your room.
4. Staff can't cope with breakfast so you have to clear your own table and go find cutlery.
5. No one in the hotel management team was remotely interested in any apology or service recovery.

A gracious old hotel from a bygone age. Slightly faded grandeur and elegance.
Great restaurant. Lovely views. Easy parking and all in all a great stopover choice if touring

The hotel is located on a hill so it's a long and winding private road before you get there. Its locations makes you feel far away from the city although it's really close to the city center. The idea is that you get the feeling that you're in a luxury hotel 100 years ago. The staff do a great job, they are formal but very kind and accommodating. The room we had was super spacious and the view from the room was spectacular. Its price range is a bit above what we usually pay for a hotel, but it's excellent value for money. The restaurant was very expensive but the portions were decent (not as small as you often get in an expensive place) and the food and service were super good. We did not use the pool but it looked very nice!
Breakfast was good but not exceptional. Some of the seats are a little too close to the buffet.

Beautiful location, restautant outside and pool area!
Restaurant menu is not suitable for children and there is no childrens menu.

The location is a real oasis in town. The garden is so beautiful (I enjoyed a lot to walk with my dog around), the pool is big and has a great spot, the bar beside it is great, the open air restaurant is fantastic (food was delicious), the room is big and comfy, super dark in the night and the air con made a huge difference during hot days.
Breakfast was really well served.
We loved to be back at the hotel after a day exploring around.
The service is super kind.
I would absolutely go back!
The doors are a bit noisy & if the “neighbors” are loud you can listen everything.

Beautiful early 19th century building with a rich history. I used to live in Varese and would see the hotel throning over the city every day, but I had never stayed there. We loved the newly renovated and stylish pool. Also the opulent breakfast buffet in a grand room with spectacular views of Lake Varese.
Unfortunately we were very underwhelmed by the experience because of several issues:
There are at least a half dozen steps to the main entrance, and no way to get around them. When I arrived with 4 suitcases and my young child in tow, the people at the reception desk watched me haul the luggage up the stairs. Then the receptionist took a phone call in the middle of our check-in, with two other people standing behind her.
There is one tiny old elevator for the entire building, and it is painstakingly slow.
I understand that there are renovated rooms in the property, but ours definitely wasn't. Think Grandma's guest room (clean but grout coming off the bathtub fixtures, wobbly table lamp, fabric skirt on desk chair).

Lovely traditional hotel in lovely grounds. Great outdoor and pool area. We had a lake view from our room which was wonderful too. Staff were very helpful and the room was immaculate.
It would have been great to have a more informal area to eat. Dinner was formal and expensive. The hotel were obviously keen to make money where possible including no tea and coffee facilities in the room and no iron.
