Hotel Vistabella

We stayed at Hotel Vistabella for a week in summer 2026 and had a fantastic family holiday. The service throughout our stay was excellent, the breakfast was superb, and the hotel must have one of the best terraces in the whole of Canyelles. Il Pirata bar was great fun in the evenings, while the spa was a wonderful sanctuary from the heat of the day. The setting is beautiful. The hotel is only around a five-minute walk from the main area of Canyelles and sits directly on the coastal path, which was perfect for an early morning run along the coastline. A beautiful hotel in a fantastic location with genuinely excellent service. Thanks to everyone at Vistabella for such a great stay — we hope to be back!

We didn’t have sea-view rooms, but they were still a really good size, with enormous beds, excellent bathrooms and lovely toiletries. If we return and we definitely hope to someday, we’ll treat ourselves to a sea-view room next time.

Frühstück sehr gut, immer ein Platz auf der Terrasse. Sehr bemühtes Personal. Parkplatzservice für Leihauto war perfekt. Auto war zu jeder Zeit immer rasch verfügbar.

Das Hallenbad und Spa war super, allerdings gibt es keinen Außenpool. Zum Strand führt eine Stiege welche möglicherweise für ältere Personen ein Problem sein könnte.

Staff in general is really friendly and helpful. Especially at breakfast -which was very nice- good variety and quality food. We had 2 people at our party that couldn't eat gluten and the staff (especially the manager) made a big effort to provide us with suitable options.

I think the hotel is overrated, it does feel like a 3-4 stars hotel instead of 5 stars. Definitely not worth the money they charge. Our bedroom was outdate, though there are others that have been renovated (same price if you stay in one or the other). The 2 restaurants that were open didn't have a lot of options (very little gluten free plates) and staff at the restaurant weren't trained in food allergies. Also, even though it wasn't high season we had to wait a long time to be served and receive our order. They said everyone got to the restaurant at the same time and gave other excuses but I guess this is normal in every restaurant? It felt like they were under staffed. The indoor pool was small and the water quite cold.
