I would invite you to select rooms facing the beach and avoid rooms in the back that are not all a very good value.

Via das Pedras is one of the best Pousadas in Morro de São Paulo. Excellent location, very quiet and calm, beautiful grounds, the Superior rooms are huge with a very comfortable bed, great breakfast with lots of options, the pool area is great as well, staff is always friendly and helpful. They have chairs for free at the beach in front of the hotel where they also serve food and drinks from the hotel restaurant. I would go back.

The facilities were great, located in the very popular 2nd beach but still felt private. The rooms were big and beautiful, and there was a part of the beach reserved only for the hotel's customers, which was great

The noise in the rooms was a bit overwhelming, as the hotel is surrounded by beach bars that start playing very loud music from morning till the very late hours

Nice breakfasts with a chef making a variety of eggs, crepes and tapiocas. A good selection of dvds and books that you can make use of during your stay. Good location just by the beach, surrounded by bars and restaurants. We had the superior double room upstairs facing away from the sea and it was great - I imagine the sea view rooms are more noisy as they also face the pool area. The balcony had a comfy hammock and there was even an outside bed with pillows.

The staff could speak more English and be a bit friendlier.
